I like Susanna and Kevin so I'll be voting for them but they've been losing support over the last 3 weeks with their poor performances. With the voting leak I can see them easily losing out.

I don't think it's a foregone conclusion.

susanna isn't the best dancer, and isnt my favourite (thats abbey now that patrick has gone), but i will quite enjoy it if she wins as it may result in a few spontaneous combustion events around the forum... :

So was I. But he only ever did one decent dance. I just wondered if there was as much tantrum throwing on here then?

And 'tanfastic' applied liberally to face.
I thought they discontinued the Black and White Minstrels?

What kind of grimace is 'gurning'? I have never heard of it before I saw it posted on this board. I have to admit I don't think I've ever seen Susanna grimace in pain, is it like having constipation or something? If you are dreading the prospect of watching the woman dance so much, perhaps you had better not watch. Simply tell who ever is forcing you to that you'r putting your foot down and you won't watch a woman grimacing in pain. If you do decide to watch perhaps you should have something to help you through the ordeal.

I seem to recall that there was!

I was rooting for Chris Hollins the year he won. This year I really don't mind who wins, though in truth, I'd prefer it wasn't Natalie, but if she does win I won't be throwing any tantrums!

But It also said that Abbey is closing the gap, so she might have over taken Sophie this weekend.

But can stomp and gurn like a good un.”

My word Im glad I don't take it as seriously as you.

Even so though, none of the people who have gone in the last few weeks were likely to win overall so it hardly matters that Susanna has more fans than them. If Susanna dances well next week she may well win-but she will probably be exposed -and when it comes down to it (when it really matters) the audience will notice and wont give it to her.

You better hope she doesn't find something special by the looks of it.

Ah yes because things never change in the final week nor are the leaks ever wrong.

OP why get worked up about something you are only guessing might happen?

Sophie has never been in the bottom two and it was week 6 when Abbey was in the DO.

So how do you know Susanna will win?

Gurning is just pulling strange faces. There are even gurning championships. It's nothing to do with pain Susanna pulls all sorts of strange faces when she dances. Haven't you noticed?

Ah well, that's life! It can be very cruel.

Me, I'm quite looking forward to a Kevin and Susanna showdance

I am too, Spin, even though I don't normally like the showdances. I hope it's completely bonkers, and if it's entertaining enough she could win.

I'm very pleased that Susanna and Kevin are in the final, and I shall be voting for them, but don't really mind who wins now. I'm just looking forward to revisiting some of the best dances from all of the finalists.

That's what I'm hoping for. . I will be really disappointed if it is not memorably bonkers like their paso.

But do we know if that voting leak (even if correct) was just based on one week when she was bottom of the leaderboard? The public never seem to cotton on to the fact that bottom is a relatively safe place - frantic fan voting and sympathy votes - and so boosts the votes. Not totally safe, of course, but usually better than 2nd or 3rd from bottom, unless the person has been bottom twice running.

I'm expecting at least one surprise in the final, just can't decide what it will be.

In the time it took you to compose this post, you could have more swiftly googled the term and act of "gurning". That meager acquisition of knowledge would have enriched your life and consequently halved your post.

I don't know what progression of thought you enlisted to deduce someone is forcing me to watch the final. Regardless, that is an incorrect assumption. I do appreciate your concern and hope the insight that my finger is primed to minimize the viewing window whenever Susanna's gaping mouth or labored expression proves too much for me to bear will ease your mind.

Chris Hollins and Darren Gough won - don't think that the voting audience are that great at voting for the best dancer!

Chris Hollins was accused of gurning and was said to be the worst dancer left standing in his year. The outrage in the week preceding the finals was epic. I should know since I was team Cola. His memorable dance was mainly the Charleston and yet he won.
Every year there is venom directed at someone. This year it's Susanna's turn. Sad but tis the nature of the DS forum

It is neither happy nor sad. Susanna having made it this far and given her projected win proves that she has legions of supporters. I wouldn't be bothered by what the likes of DS users are saying.

"Just the place for a Snark!" the Bellman cried,
As he landed his crew with care;
Supporting each man on the top of the tide
By a finger entwined in his hair.

"Just the place for a Snark! I have said it twice:
That alone should encourage the crew.
Just the place for a Snark! I have said it thrice:
What I tell you three times is true."

You really don't want to know. Although even that approached nothing like the threads when Austinwazrobbed or Gethinwazrobbed in their respective years
