Its a cut down version coming to plus but with apparently an attractive price to upgrade to the full product.

They said you can Platinum the game with the PS+ edition, so I'd assume we're getting most tracks but not many cars.

I wonder what will happen to your game of you pay for the upgrade but your Plus subscription expires? That's the route I'll be going down to buy it anyway.

Thing is its like live. So long as we have a ps4 we will really always have plus. The draw to play online is too strong not to, Plus the included games.
However. .The game has still to prove itself. It might look good but be a bag of shit.

I'm getting it on PS+. At the moment I feel no need to buy any games for the console.

I'll be getting it with plus, as I'm sure most would do, it's by far the most sensible option as you get at least some of the game for free. As I enjoy racing games I am pretty sure I would upgrade too, unless it turns out to be truly awful, which I think is unlikely, from what I've seen and heard.

Yeah, thinking about it i'm not sure why any ps4 user would keep the pre-order now, unless they aren't a PS+ subscriber. I'll see how i like it when its on PS+, then i'll likely upgrade. The retail box is meant to have 3 months of free PS+ in, so its like a cross promotion.

How does Drive Club work? Do you form a team with friends on the PS network and then you can see their ghost laps in game and race against them?

I'm getting it on disk! (Same goes 4 all my PS4 software) ... I learnt my lesson with the PS3 / XB360 ... bought over 500 digital titles that are pretty much useless now because of no backwards compatibility!

(& I didn't bother keeping my PS3 or 360 because I simply had nowhere 2 put em)

Nice to start with ps plus version but personally I'm going for full disc version with all the cars & tracks and unlockables.

The same team created motorstorm so they will know what they are doing, as I loved that game

All depends what the upgrade cost is if I go the plus route. If it's a really good game then I'd be happy with digital.

The team has changed quite a bit actually, with staff from Sony Liverpool and codemasters.

If you get it on plus you can pay an upgrade to get everything and it's digital which is a bonus for me on a game I think I'll play a lot.

Will try it on plus, but not a great fan of racing games I enjoy GT but will be pretty crap against on line players, and this is where Drive Club is going, so it might not be for me. Plus with so many online games coming to PS4 (Destiny, The Division, PS2 and Elder Scrolls) not sure I'm going to have the time to invest in a genre I don't traditionally play.

I will just wait and get the free version on PS+ and if I like it then I will do the digital upgrade (assuming its a reasonable price).

Driveclub has recently been rated by the ESRB, hopefully an indication that launch isn't too far away now.

Watch Dogs had that date since they announced the delay. I don't know about DC as I didn't look at it back then.

But it should be noted it was listed in a Sony conference in Japan as a launch title after the delay was announced. PS4 launches in Japan 22nd February.

It could be a week earlier than that to coincide with the Japanese release. It is listed as a Japanese launch title.

One of the devs has said they are crunching right now, so that deadline must be pretty close.

Hope so, I'm needing to play a good driving game on the PS4. NFS does not interest me.

Reckon I'll try the Plus version first to see what it's like.

Is there an incentive to "upgrade" to the full version for Plus subs?
