That's fine. We're always going to come up with challenges using cars that people haven't bought or aren't the right level for. It's just the way the cookie crumbles. So long as we mix it up, we'll be fine.
I think I'm up to pick the next challenge, so I'll make sure I pick one of the non-DLC cars.

Every time I have a little time off to play something else and come back to this game I'm blown away by how pretty it is.

Aye, it also gives you a good excuse for not delivering on that ass-whooping you were promising !

I seen a clip of horizon and dont like that you can drive off the track making your own route.
The whole point of Horizon is you can drive pretty much anywhere, does it make a better game for this reason? no way..... but it does offer something different (ish) and it does it well, it's a very good game honestly it's just I lost interest in it way too quickly much to my surprise.

I also think Driveclub looks better than FH2 (dare I say it)
Yeah I got that but not my bag. Prefer real as in on the track though still with a bit of excitement rather than bland. Driveclub seems to have this unlike GT. They still need to work on a few things though including connecting to players in lobby of online.
You can't just piss off from the designated circuit though.
With the circuit races there are only a couple of places each race where you can cut corners.
The point-to-point races have checkpoints you (and only you, the AI is allowed to miss them for some reason) have to drive through.
It's a very good game. I do prefer the closed circuits of the main Forza franchise though.

22 attempts at the latest challenge. Did a sighter lap. Then a lap to score on the corner and drift challenges. Then a 1.20-something lap. Then my (final?) time of 1.18-ish and the rest were trying to beat it. Just can't improve
127,000 fame from it though.

I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills, skills I have acquired over the Christmas. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you concede to me now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will rank on the leaderboards higher than you.

Are you darkstar815 in DS 6? I've just had a go at that challenge, would be good if some of the other DS club members can have a go before tomorrow, you wouldn't want DS3 to win everything now would you lol )

Best part is I didn't even intend to set that lap, I was going to leave it on a 1:16.1XX, but I went back to mop up some of the face-offs and whilst driving round to one towards the end of the lap I realised I was ahead of my ghost and stuck with it.

The weather is amazing. I just wish you could tinker with the cars, like gt or Forza. Driveclub is 10 times better looking than FH2, it is also a lot less boring.

I agree Driveclub is a great looking game but I also think FH2 looks good and plays great. As for the allot less boring comment, I don't see them as being comparable games due to the open world nature FH2.

Would like a bit of tuning too. The weather effects are some of the best I've seen.

And FH2 boring? You clearly haven't gone off-road in high-powered RWD car.

I get why some people like it, but for me being able to tune the cars would turn me right off the game - I like the fact that I know I'm in exactly the same set up as the other drivers, and it's just my ability (or lack of) that separates us.

If I had to tune each car to get the best out of them, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have bought the game.

Yeh, yeh. Couldn't resist could you ?

I shall oblige - it is my lack of ability that separates me from the more obviously skilled drivers such as Lisa.

And before you ask, no I don't include you in that group

Probably best not to include me in the group. I kept meaning to go back to all the challenges results and see where I placed. It started off something like 5th, 6th, 7th, 5th but I had a 1st and 2nd in there towards the end.

And no I couldn't resist

I agree.

I love my racing sims & do like been able to tinker with setups, car upgrades & all that but sometimes when you just want to quickly jump in & try & move your way up the leader-boards its better knowing that your on even footing with everyone in the same car with the same setups.

Anyway finally got round to buying Driveclub today (Went out looking for Infamous SS, Came back with Driveclub ). I've played it before but not for that long so this is my 1st time properly playing it & while some of the early races in the slower fwd hatchbacks were a bit dull (As they always tend to be in most games), Now that i've started to get into some slightly quicker stuff i'm starting to have a lot more fun.

I've just got to adapt to playing with a pad rather than a wheel & running with an auto gearbox ( I just can't shift manually with a pad for some reason). I've not had to play a game with semi-realistic handling/physics with a pad since I 1st got Forza 2 so i'm struggling a bit right now although still beating the ai & getting all the stars in the sp tour.

Why did Logitech have to decide to end support for console peripherals, There existing wheels would probably have PS4 support if they hadn't Hopefully some DFGT style real good/affordable ffb wheel will turn up at some point soon because the Thrustmaster/Fanatec stuff is a bit too pricey for me.
