nice update

Omtt the backing up while drifting for extra points was a tricky one. The game allowed you to do it so it wasn't cheating as such as everyone could do it. It's like that challenge weeks ago where we could cut two corners out by going cross country, it was wrong but when everyone is doing it, then is it wrong ?

But that's a moot point now that they've fixed it. Which is for the better. Who was the culprit anyway ?

Me. Only because that's what all the top people on the leaderboards do to get their insane scores, so if you can't beat them, join them. Plus the game allowed it at that time. Are they going to wipe all the drift leaderboards now then? It should be like Grid; if your drift even ends up with you facing the wrong way or off-road the score is void for that corner.

Haha yeah it was you lol Font have a grudge or anything, I was just onthe huff because I was in the lead all the way to that last corner when I noticed that you had turned back on the end of the previous sector & on the finish line, getting the points to beat me. Never played Grid before but that system sounds good.

The Nakasendo track is my favourite out of the 5 new ones. I wonder if they'll intoduve Japanese cars in the next tour?

Can someone give me an honest opinion on how much this game has improved since launch? I brought the digital version and really didn't like it at all, actually deleted it from mmy hard drive after about 10 days. But looking round various gaming websites, it seems it's improved a lot with patches - the latest one peaking my interest with 'Improved AI', one thing I hated about the game on release was the awful rubber banding AI drivers who seemed to stick to the line happily bunched rigidly together, yet never overtaking/attacking each other. Is this really improved? Do they now show personality with the rubber banding all but gone?

Has it improved ?? In some areas yeah. I don't think the AI is much different from launch. They're still aggressive and they still pack tightly together.

But in other areas there's a world of difference. The servers are properly functional the weather is amazing.

I found it fun to play at launch and I still find it fun.

Btw: there was a patch released today and I don't do e any races since the update so maybe that changed the AI, but I haven't tested yet.

I'm glad they've fixed that exploit in the drift challenges but not so glad now that Lisa's score is effectively out of reach. Perhaps we should start the challenge again?

Another great reason to love driveclub, especially when it's cost me a total of £44.99 for Driveclub and season pass.

Looking forward to giving this update a bash later on

One of the best looking games ever, and they're still making improvements. Rainbows and heat haze have now been added.

Not doing too badly without the drift cheat. I'd be back in the lead if I didn't keep losing so much on that last corner.

It's really hard to get good speed going into the last corner.

It's not the speed for me, it's finding the right positioning for the drift so I don't keep getting pulled out wide to the barrier.

Laps where I'm ahead by hundreds and it's 1,200-1,300 at best. Scrub laps and I find the 2,100s every time.

That ghost coming back up the track on that challenge confused the heck out of me the first time The drifting is alot different to PGR3 or 4, the only other time I've drifted on purpose in a game I think, consequently I'm a bit rubbish at it! It just all goes wrong on the third corner, cannot get to grips with it atall..

You gotta go around the two corners in one drift and maybe aim for 3000 points.

Actually got a reply to one of my questions to DC on twitter for once! Asked them about what they're going to do with the drift leaderboards since without the exploit, legit scores can't match the old ones.

@DRIVECLUB: "We're tweaking drift mode to account for this "

GAME are cheeky bastards. When I was there today I saw they've taken it off the shelves and replaced it with pre-owned copies.

More importantly, and more surprisingly, people and bought this (I assume they played it) and then traded it in.

Fools.

Yeah, tracks are free. Think it's events/cars/liveries that are what the season pass is for

Couple things id like to see...

1. Faster online lobby sync
2. Private lobbies soon
3. The driveclub app
4. Some ford and vauxhall/opel
