I persuaded a couple of my mates to get this so I've switched clubs to join them.

That means there is currently a space on digital spy 5 if anyone wants it.

They should put the Renault Twizy in DC.

Don't give them ideas Lisa.

By the way, I'm starting to suspect you are really the STIG!

You'll hate this crap advice but it's all about practice. Practice, practice and more practice.

Have you done the tours ? They're quite good for getting to grips with the cars and the tracks.

The more you play, the better you get.

Pretty much what Yuffie said - practice, practice, practice - learn the tracks so that you know which corners can be taken flat out, which need you to lift off, and which you need to brake a lot for. (generally by the green/yellow/red colour flags)

And watch Lisa's ghost on our challenges. (or whoever's first, but lets be honest, it's ususally Lisa!)

Just finished. Well done Lisa, I couldn't find that last second I needed. That's the most effort I've put into a challenge for a long time and by the end of it I've kinda grown to love the little twin run. I would post a photo of the results but I'm not sure how it's done.

Who's up next?

Superb time Lisa - I'll bet you were gutted you didn't break into the 1:09s though!

I didn't manage to get back on this last night (wife has discovered Downton and is now binge-watching), so was pleased to see I retained my 4th place.

And Gillyallan - welcome to the Yuffie-beating end of the leaderboard

Yuffie, you taking a sickie to commiserate ??

What's next echo ?

I beat Yuffie!

Beating Yuffie is my new benchmark. Lisa/Ian are clearly out of range and it's just depressing trying to come anywhere near them. So Yuffie it is.

I'm gonna take that as a compliment.

Yourself, OMTT and Claymore are my targets.

Like you said beating Lisa isn't an option but I do like to give it a good go. Ian and EsonAmp can be unreachable too when they go for it, but you three are always in my crosshairs. Except on the last challenge. I sucked donkey balls on that one.

Didn't get a chance to play that last challenge as it was my birthday at the weekend and was busy & too rough to do anything yesterday! I'm fresh and ready for the next challenge though 👍🏁🚗🏆

Well done. Though to perfect this Yuffie-beating skill you need to sneak on to the challenge and beat his time with less than an hour to go.

It ensures maximum annoyance and puts him off for the next challenge Gotta psyche him out!

OMTT, his PSN is Echo12008 ...... and happy belated birthday.

Claymore, your maxed out "Annoy Yuffie" skill dates back to Trials Fusion. It seems this skill was transferable between games as you started Driveclub with it already maxed out at level 100.

Ah Trials, happy days...

To be fair though, we're probably about evens on wins/losses throughout our Driveclub challenges.

Yeah probably. I think in the next round of challenges I'll make a points system. Then we'll know what do ya think ?

I was a bit miffed I dropped over 2 tenths in the middle sector on that lap, but then I probably wouldn't have set my fastest last sector. If I'd have had E5's middle sector it would've been the #1 time in the world for that car/track combo which stands at 1:09.4-something.

We should use a F1 points system from the next challenge onwards

1st : 25 points
2nd : 18 points
3rd : 15 points
4th : 12 points
5th : 10 points
6th : 8 points
7th : 6 points
8th : 4 points
9th : 2 points
10th : 1 point

Or maybe make the increments smaller so that it includes lower finishing position?

Or have a score system so everybody gets points and make it competitive across the board. So if there's say 22 with a time/score set on a challenge then 1st gets 22pts and 22nd gets 1pt, that way everyone at every skill level has something to fight for?

Interesting idea.

I was originally thinking of OMTTs system, where the top ten get points, but I do like the dynamic scoring system where you get more points for the challenges that more people participated in. And as you say, everyone will get points then so everyone's a winner.

What does everyone else think ? Any preferred system, or does does anyone have a new system ?

In theory sounds good, but i don't think it'd work because we don't have the same number of players in each challenge.

e.g. You win a challenge in one where there are 22 players, then you get 22 points.

Say I beat you in a challenge (unlikely I know, but bear with me) that there are only 6 players in - then I only get 6 points? no thanks - if anyone manages to beat one of your times they shouldn't be penalised purely due to the number of players in that challenge.

I think something like OMTT's suggestion, but maybe scoring points down to 15th place?

Also a good point Claymore.

What if the top 25 people gets points. That should include everyone, and in the event there was only 6 participants, the winner still gets what they deserve.
