The eagerly awaited Replay feature, big changes to Drift Mode and the Ferrari 599XX Evoluzione are the headlines, along with the Lamborghini Expansion Pack, plus many more improvements based on your continued feedback - so please keep it coming!
Full details of Update 1.12:
» Adds Replays to the game for all Single Events and Tours. You can now save a Replay at the end of any single player event and view it later from the Replays section.
» Photomode can be used from within a Replay at any point.
» Introduces a new Driver Level 50 reward: You can now unlock the Ferrari 599XX Evoluzione for your Garage!
» Refines Drift Mode scoring to increase the points scored for momentum, control and staying on the track.
» Adjusts the drag reduction when veering off road, so that accidentally leaving the track slows you down more gradually.
» Adjusts the drag penalty on world collisions, to remove the possibility of gaining any advantage after colliding with a wall.
» Adds the option to control screen brightness in-game (new Display Option).
» Adds the option to change the volume levels on individual SFX channels (new Audio options in Settings).
» Adds the option to make the AI opponents in a Single Event drive in the same car as the one the player chooses.
» Adds the option to select factory paint jobs for AI opponents (new Display Option).
» Removes the voicechat icon for any player you have chosen to mute in Multiplayer while you are driving.
» Adds new categories for downloaded Livery Packs within the Bonus Designs in Customisation.
» Adds status information about friends playing DRIVECLUB™ to the Social Hub.
» Immediately centres the camera view behind the car automatically whenever you reset to the track.

So definitely no advantage in bouncing off the track anymore. And nice to have replays but I'd like to be able to view other people's as well.
I can't tell you how excited replays arriving will make me, suffice to say that it will probably require a change of clothing.
On another note, how do people feel about extending the challenge durations to 5 days instead of 3. I keep getting caught out either not being able to find the time to have a second bash at improving a time/drift or missing challenges completely.

I've already got the Evoluzione 599XX, I can't remember when or how it unlocked but it's definitely there, was it part of the season pass before?
If so then they should come up with an idea that benefits everyone, would be nice if they thought about those that have supported the game too.

5 days would be better would give people a bigger window to participate in without being too long. You can easily miss challenges when they are 3 days long.

You've obviously got your priorities wrong if you can't find time for Driveclub! (kidding).
I was actually going to suggest that if a challenge is set the same day the previous one finishes, that it's set for 4 days instead of 3, as I tend to miss the first day when this happens.
But if everyone wants to make it a blanket 5 days that's fine with me.
Has anyone messaged jaffa-mad to see if he's going to set a challenge, or should we move on ?

Replays yay!
Drifting being changed to benefit keeping the car going forwards (again?), yay! Will they reset the leaderboards? Same question for wall bouncing, some records will never be broken without abusing the track limits I think.

That's that super rare Ferrari (only a handful made in real life) that was previously only available for multiplayer isn't it? I assume now those of us at level 50 have got it unlocked to use in any mode we like?

Yep, I think it's the only major thing I miss now, Forza does it so.... WR and your last ghost are fine, but be good to choose one to race, nearest rival, arch enemy, Lisa, etc etc
Mind you, about half the time I get no ghost atall.
Well if no one objects then we can make the challenges 5 days, but we could start from the next championship as we're near the end of this one.
I look forward to the changes in drifting but I'm a bit skeptical as I have the current method nailed down.

Agreed. But, it's a bit of a double-edged sword though, I guess.
Driveclub is a game of the modern era; connected, social, episodic, progressive. As much as the enhanced graphics, it's what the new generation is about.
Problem is, it started life as a bare bones release which was reflected in its poor review scores.
One could argue games such as Driveclub should be reassessed and even re-reviewed over time, because the product we have now is a very different beast to the one released last year.
Very true FF. I was thinking the same thing. The low review scores are not right when you look at what we have now.

No, it doesn't have that particular track. Skjolden, with its lush greenery and mountain backdrop is certainly aesthetically simiar though, couldn't blame anyone for being confused.
Such a close challenge at the mo. No doubt there'll be another 2 seconds or so shaved off by the time it's over though.
In some sort of groundhog day loop, where if I *don't* mess up the first chicane I will arrive at the left hander with more speed than normal, and brake too late for it...

This challenge is driving me nuts. Spend ages not getting anywhere, then all of a sudden manage a few good laps, then get one great lap, only to stuff it on the last corner. Extremely annoying. And tbh, I really wouldn't be caring that much, if it wasn't for the person currently ahead of me in second.

It's so short, but it does take a bit of time to fall into the rhythm of it. Looking at the global leaderboard for this combo, I would love to know where all the rest of that time is supposed to be.
