Video I uploaded of the Wombat challenge.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tvq6t35VALo

As you can see I originally only beat claymore by a smidge, but I knew a .661 would never stick and I had to keep going to get a better time while I was in the rhythm of what was working.
Well done on the Wombat challenge Lisa. I ran out of time to try and take it from you, but tbh I doubt I would have.

I've been on hols in Lanzarote for a week which is why I missed the last challenge, but I'll be back for the next one.

And congrats OMTT on getting all the stars in the tour. Well done.

For those that like making videos, there's a Diveclub theme now available in ShareFactory.

No private lobbies before the release of Project Cars, although it's not like the Driveclub servers are ready for that anyway, they still haven't resolved the mess the leaderboards were left in after the server update over Easter.

They should give us the ability to create our own championships. Would save Yuffie a job having to keep track of all the points.

Haven't played this for a few weeks - are the servers still a bit hit and miss? I spent half my time waiting for lobbies and challenges to load.

For the most part they're fine, it's just the occasional server update that ends up creating another problem or becoming crippled when they do a double fame weekend. There's no way they're in any fit state to enable the hallowed plus version any time soon... well unless they wait until the user base has completely evaporated first.

No wonder the 'preparing to download' phase took so long for the latest game update. It's a 2.7gb download this time around, which is nearly a 2hr wait for me!

This is brought up every time, it always shows the full combined size of every single update. This time around the update file started at 7.146GB and ended at 9.858GB.

Got you. That goes some way to explain what the whole "preparing for download" bit is about, and why it jumps so quickly. I thought it perhaps stealth-downloaded part of it prior to the release.

Installed the update ok but leaderboards are mostly not working, quite annoying as server improvement was supposed to be part of the update.
Had a quick play on the 'new' tour, seems to be existent events with time changes and super easy to get stars?
Had a go on current challenge as well, got blinking lost on the double hairpin, still not sure how to get round it without crashing/ spinning or resetting in frustration.
Guess its time to get Ferrari to 5!

Yeah it's basically a tutorial mode, hence why there's no trophies for it.

Do the stars won count towards the overall stars total? Been redecorating over the last few days so the PS4 etc is all disconnected but hopefully get it all wired back up later today at some point and get cracking with the new challenge

It doesn't affect the stars. I've not touched the tutorial and mine still says 675/675.

My Profile>Progression and Statistics>Driver Accolades>Manufacturers>scroll down to Ferrari Owners Club.

You'll see how close you are there. The levels vary between each car, most only have 100 miles or so between each level, but some like the Ferrari and Mercedes have higher increments between levels.

Thanks Lisa.B

Currently level 2 Ferrari with about 60 miles until level 3

Can anyone suggest a nice long track so I can grind out a Ferrari to Level 5?

cheers

Set yourself up private 20 lap races and just keep knocking them out.
