Fault rectified (kicked son off of Xbox 1!) challenge sent, unfortunately deadmancarl you need to be level 17 for this car, so 5 day challenge, plenty of time to get there! Good luck everyone!

Practice, practice and more practice! Some of us have had like 7 months at this.
is that how long we've been chasing you !!!Annoyed with the current challenge. I set at 1:36.9 last night and it didn't register. Eventually managed to get close this morning but it's still annoying.

Eventually managed to get close this morning but it's still annoying.![]() Sometimes it will extremely latently kick in on the leaderboards even if you have continued away from the event, so I need to hope that's going to happen here. I can probably beat it, but I've still saved all the footage and got all the screenshots, bastards won't diddle me out of a time!

Interestingly, your 1:36.136 shows up on the global leaderboards but not the challenge. Are you sure you were in the challenge and not just single event??
![]() Anyway, giving you the benefit of the doubt, it's good enough for second place at the moment ![]() So you've gone even faster now then and it actually saved it properly? |

Very sure! No reply from them unsurprisingly. Too busy retweeting pretty pictures. I'm not the only one that's had an issue with this - https://twitter.com/HomicideSocial/s...22395183226880
So you've gone even faster now then and it actually saved it properly? Yes, I've gone quicker, 1:36.084. I think at a push a high 1:34/low 1:35 is possible. It did the same thing again though, pass the finish line and leader's time and ghost disappeared from the screen. I did a slow lap after that, and by the time I got round the lead ghost ( that I'd just beaten ) was showing again, and after I crossed the finish line the times then updated properly. It's as if it loses the connection to the challenge and then gets it back a bit later, and catches up at the finish line. I've done it like this twice now, so def worth a go if it happens to you again. |

Well at the minute I'm doing lap after lap trying to get this 1:35.060 to stick on the leaderboard, instead of saying my 1:36.055 is the target to beat. There's also another 1:36.00X I did the lap after the 1:36.055 still floating around the system. God this is annoying!
Edit: Done at least double figures of laps, this 1:35 won't stick for shit! Of course the 1:36.055 would go and stick inside 3 laps. Well I'm having this time, got the screenshots and video to prove I've done it.

I can't get anywhere with this challenge. I got a 1:38.2XX earlier but it never saved. This happens far too often for me. Even though I don't like sim racing games, I may have to get Project Cars if it has no problems. The variety of tracks on offer is very enticing

I got a time of 1:05 earlier. I have no proof, you'll just have to trust me and award me the victory

Bernie Ecclestone would be proud of all these brown envelope deals!

I won't be getting Project Cars though, it looks way too sim for me. Quote:
(Although that's only about £3.50 - ya tight ass)

I don't understand how you've got a 1:35.5 to stick claymore?? I'm currently following my 1:34.653 ghost round and around and endlessly around and it just won't hold!
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Edit: 1:34.517 is the new time to beat seeing as the effing thing refuses to stick. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() It did the same as usual, and I had to do another lap to get it to record properly, but once I did that, it showed ok. There's also the secret button press combination that I may have forgotten to tell you about...

I've got a 1:34.677 to stick so I'll shut my whining now!
![]() After getting a slower time to stick and repeating the method again to get that time on, this is what you do: You basically have 2 laps from when you click play to get the time on before the server gets too bogged down with laps and times. So use the first lap to get the speed on the last sector then your 2nd lap is going to be 'the' lap to get the time. If you fail to better your time then go options>restart>options>quit then go back through the menus to the challenge to make sure the server has completely forgotten those laps. You can still maintain some kind of rhythm with the event and the laps, it's just a more clunky way of going about it. If you do better your time then go round an extra couple of laps, following your ghost for the servers to re-engage the ghosts and then register your correct time. Don't beat your new best ghost before you've got it to stick, otherwise it'll bog down the servers memory of your laps. You'll see if it's worked if you click options and look at the leaderboard while you're in the event. |
