This game isn't very good, big wide section of road and what do the AI drivers do? Ram into me when there is loads of room to pass. Cornering penalties, why? I don't get a penalty for squeezing another car against a barrier to gain advantage. 99% of corner cuts result in lost places anyway. Frustration is the name of the game.

Poor AI seems to be a common complaint on this game, but personally I don't get it. The AI always goes for the racing line - if I'm in the way, they'll try to force me out. I like the fact it's aggressive - I'm aggressive right back.

After having put in what must be well over 100 hours in this game, while it has it's technical flaws (AI not being one of them in my view), I think it's brilliant and I love it.

The AI is sort of like a good driver level IMO, most of the time they will try and take the racing line, barging into you if you happen to be in the way, but they do wipe out/ mess up and I've had them hang me out to dry on corners by taking a wider line than normal.

Anyone else having some spectacular crashes on the current challenge? I've had some absolute belters when going flat out through the trees along the straightish bit.

DC just because find I driving sims quite boring and not fun to play. Arcade racers are more my thing.

This to a tee.

Yet to try this challenge yet as was playing through Beyond. How long's left on it? Don't think I'll get a chance until tomorrow to have a go.

I think it runs til Monday (if it was set to 5 days).

Gillyallen, I'd stick with DC because I prefer arcadey too. Tinkering about with car setups is not my kind of thing. I do like the go karts in PC tho

Project Cars ever tine. I prefer real race tracks and a more sim-like handling/physics.

One thing that bugs me, and yes its trivial probably, but enough to make me post. I seen an ad on Facebook from playstation saying project cars is out, featuring expert guidance from ex stig Ben Collins, exclusively through the ds4 speaker.

Now I love this little speaker and feature. Does the exclusive DC use it ? .... does it ****....why? Sony should be pushing their exclusive studios to use all the features available.

That's all...rant over

I agree that Sony should be pusgphing their studios to use the features (and make game for THEIR vita, but that's a different story) but if you were a designer, what would you have the speaker do ?
I think I'd rather it do nothing than do something just for the sake of it. But if they found summit good to do with it, then I'm all for it.

I always thought maybe the sound of cars passing you or of you passing them. Subtle though. Also maybe at some corners where there's a crowd. Some of that trickling through.
maybe on internal view the sound of the gear change. External the turbo waste gate or whatever you call it.

I guess for all I know they tried it and it didn't add anything. I just love the speaker though. Wish battlefield used it.

They could get the speaker to play applause when you get the top time in a challenge or say "you have finally beaten Lisa".

It should be Lisa saying 'just kidding, I can actually go way faster.' Cause every time one of us gets close, she widens the gap again.

I'm reminded of the complaints I read from a number of people who played Uncharted: Golden Abyss and didn't like several of the Vita features used in the game such as the 3-axis for aiming, use of the touchscreen quick time events, use of the rear touchpad and having to hold the camera over a light source to reveal clues.

The inclusion of those features is the reason why Uncharted: Golden Abyss is not compatible with the PS Vita TV and Sony got stick for that too.

I see the leaderboards are up to their normal tricks and not updating times. For the record I managed a 1:09:883 earlier. I got a screenshot as evidence. Kind of puts me off playing the game if they can't get the simple things right after all this time.

On a side note the controller speaker is a massively under used feature. I would love to see it being implemented in some way, maybe the face-off challenges or sector times.

I noticed in the last 10-15mins the leaderboards were saying content not available, try again later. I was going through old events in the tour and it was updating times/scores fine and then as soon as I went to try another event and saw the leaderboard had conked out I thought better of it and came off.

The 13 lap event and the Vuhl tournament in the 'Midnight' DLC are so tough. Actually hating the Vuhl at the moment the slightest wrong move and it spins out. No Vuhl challenges please
