A games journo on my friends list was playing this last night so I had a quick look at the trophies. There are tour trophies but they are all separated out, like dlc - so you can get plat without upgrading but not the 100%.
Looking forward to giving this a go. I am sure I will end up getting the upgrade, but want to check the handling etc. first. |

FOr anyone interested in racing with a wheel, the new Thrustmaster T80 and T300RS wheels are the only ones compatible.

Nothing we didn't already know, but here's the official announcement for wheel support (or lack of it!!):

I'm sorry but you could nearly buy a car for the price of the T300RS. I had wheels for both PS1 and PS2 and neither cost anywhere near that. |

I would love to get a wheel but could never justify those costs - over £200 for the T300RS and the T80 is nearly £60 with pretty terrible reviews.

I'd love to get a steering wheel again (had one for my PC gaming about 10 years ago), but the unreliable wheel support from game to game and, as pointed out above, the ridiculous price gap between the only two that work in Driveclub mean I'll probably not bother any time soon.
It also annoys me that the expensive option doesn't even come with 3 pedals, just 2!...but you can pay more for the 3 pedal unit...there's no word though on how much the expensive one costs without the 2 pedals, indicating that you need to buy the set with 2 pedals plus the 3 pedal unit and just leave the 2 pedal unit lying around! |

I'd rather fork out £200 to drive a Lambo and/or a Ferrari round a circuit than pay for a damn steering wheel.

Not really a gameplay trailer.
As to ps4s forza killer. Id settle for it being on par with it. I'm dreading it ends up poor as want it to be good. |

Graphics are great, but with an "update" on the way in a month or so to make it them even better. It all depends on how the "social features" play out, because on pure racing terms it is not on par with Forza imo. It's good enough in it's own right though. If I were a betting man I would say reviews would be around 7.5 to 8. |

Yeah the social thing concerns me too. I'll need to be my own team.

I've played it a few times. Most recently at the weekend both in Game and at EGX.

After the Destiny debacle where, in my opinion, reviewers totally missed the point of the game, I'm expecting this to review poorly as well to be honest. That's not going to stop me buying it though, I've really enjoyed what I've played so far and the social aspect sounds great. The free PS+ version means there'll be no shortage of people to race with.

"Driveclub the Forza killer" oh my ahahahaha! That was pure jokes.
![]() Driveclub can't actually be on par regardless of quality as it doesn't do half the things Horizon 2 does and while it could still be good in it's own way, sadly the advert itself tells the whole story. |

No need to be so defensive. Anyone would think you felt threatened by Driveclub's potential. |

There should be a demo, I just can't risk paying all that money for it if it turns out to be garbage.

I don't have it because right now I am playing one game at a time, completing it then moving onto something else. There's not a lot of games out for PS4 just now and the prices are too high to taking chances on lots of games. I had the trial and I COD but when I was playing COD no one used their microphone. I guess it's a playstation thing but on Xbox 360 and PC many use microphones and It just feels a bit cold online gaming and you wouldn't really know it was online gaming, it just feels like you are playing against the CPU. I think I want to try somthing different like a racing game, no more shooting games just now, I'm trying to complete Watch Dogs then get onto The Last Of Us but if Drive Club ended up being OK i might go and pay for PS+. I think there is one racing game on demo that I tried and I hated it because I couldnt drive it properly. I never liked the Gran Turismo games for the same reason, it's too realistic. I like racing games that you can just pick up and play and you have a good chance of winning the race.

Back on topic. Are we going to set up a few clubs on here? Be fun to have a couple on the go and compete against each other etc. |
