What is the difference between ps plus edition and normal? The normal version is available for £26.99 and special edition for £29.99 from Amazon.

The ps plus edition is a glorified demo of the game. It's free, launched today, and has a handful of cars and tracks available.

The normal edition is the full game, with all cars and tracks available (excluding DLC).

The special edition I'm not sure about, it looks like the normal edition with some paint jobs available from the start, but you get those levelling up anyway. (Not 100% sure on this, I could be wrong)

Ps+ edition is a cut down version of the full game. To give you an idea, the main single player tour consists of getting 225 stars. The ps+ edition is limited to just 45, across 11 tracks and one country ( India ). The main game has 5 other countries, Japan, Scotland, Canada, Chile, and Norway, each with 11 tracks/variants.

You will be able to get the platinum trophy with the ps+ version, as the trophies have been structured in a particular way to allow it.

You also get multiplayer with the ps+ version, though they've stated that they are going to be very cautious when rolling it out.

I don't know for sure, but I assume the dlc will not work with the ps+ edition, as you won't have all the tracks. There are currently 14 dlc packs (2 of which were originally free, not sure if they are now, all others were covered by the season pass, with 4 more to come). Meaning with the dlc there is currently a total of 855 stars to obtain.

You can buy a pre owned full version disk for about 15 quid

So the PS+ version is just the demo really and then you pay £19.99 to unlock the full game? Seems an excellent price unless I'm wrong?

Well there's a gang of us here that really enjoy it. We set up our own championship which puts a bit extra spice into the game. We've just finished our second one and due to start our third one soon.

As some folk are no doubt away on hols, I was wondering about setting up a mini championship. 5 challenges, all lasting one week. Same scoring as normal. Anyone up for it?

I was thinking something similar. Do you want to restrict it to PS+ cars and tracks so newbies can join us ?

You might want to go with the Mercedes A 45 AMG, its available from the start as most people wont have unlocked the higher performance cars.
