Driveclub's game director Paul Rustchynsky has hinted he will be on stage tomorrow in Paris for Sony's press conference. Hopefully they'll be news of some new additions / lobbies etc.

Fits with the last week of October due date for the next update.

So lobbies will presumably be the next update after that then with their expected due date of early November.

They've already shown they can add new locations, new vehicles, new game modes, and new functionality (e.g. replays) to the existing game, so I don't see what a sequel would add.

They obviously need to make money out of the work they're doing though, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was a 'season 2' of dlc.

It's hard to know if DC2 would be a good idea for them. The first got slated so badly that it would have an impact of sales of the next one. Of course I'd like to think that they'd have learned from their mistakes and if they did release DC2 then it would at the very least, work.

But I do like the idea of just adding to the game that's already there. When a sequel is released, it kind of renders the previous game null and void. All the work you put into it, probably never to be played again. With just constantly adding DLC, you get to keep everything you've worked hard for.

But financially, surely releasing a new game would be more profitable than doing DLC.

I don't think DC2 is likely, but a major update/expansion/season 2 is very much so. When they scaled Evo back after launch they talked about DC being run as a service so in my mind DC being an 'umbrella' for yearly iterations make sense and is actually a much more logical (and consumer friendly) model given the iterative nature of racing games.

Rushy has certainly indicated that they're going to be at Paris Games Show tomorrow, presumably on stage, so that suggests something major is coming rather than just lobbies etc - Season Pass 2 seems almost certain and maybe even a major gameplay expansion ( City tracks? Rally? Motorstorm?). I think they've also teased graphical improvements?

At the very least new locations and tracks should be coming which will be very welcome. I fired it up for the first time in a long time the other day and had a blast but couldn't help craving somewhere new and inevitably beautiful to drive around.

I'd be happy for a season pass 2 if it keeps expanding (adnittedly I don't play as much as I used to) but the bonus content that the DLC pass has given so far has made the game so much better

Bikes were cool in PGR4 so looking forward to see what Evo can achieve with Driveclub's tech.

First-person, in-helmet view, in the rain, at 180mph - should be a buzz.

So is it a complete game with many tracks or just bike dlc that replaces the cars on same track ?

http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2015/...w-on-ps-store/

There's a new tour mode and a new platinum trophy to earn, so somebody will become the first person to double platinum a game. They are working on adding new tracks. File size is 2GB for people that already own DC.

Edit: The Bikes add-on is now available on the Store and it's up for £11.99, not the £12.99 stated originally.

Edit: The update file is downloading, DC Bikes purchase just activates the bikes in game.
