Its even worse considering the folk already playing the game for the last week or so. They should at least get the plus demo out there.

I'll be getting the PS Plus version to kick off, still ploughing through FH2 so I don't want to be spreading myself to thin with all these wonderful games

To be fair, there's so much conflicting information out there right now. Hardly surprising though, as it's a unique way of releasing a game.

Picking through it all, particularly info direct from sources at Evolution / SCEE, I'm pretty certain that's what's happening.

Preordered my digital copy.

Like the clips I've seen, think this will be a blast to play.

Not sure if this has already been posted. Driveclub for £28.93 if you buy credit from cdkeys: http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/pre-...tation-2007042

I'll be doing this if I like the game enough.

That's how I'm doing it. Can't say no at that price,

Sainsburys seem to be doing what they did with FIFA 15. 20 quid off with 30 quid's worth of shopping.

Done deal for me.

Looks like an amazing game, although I hope it's good for a single player, as I don't have 50 friends who will drive with me.

If dc looks better than most wanted on ps3 I'll be gobsmacked. My son is playing that just now and I still think it looks awesome.

Don't you have UK supermarket chains in Ireland? They've missed a trick there if not!

Watching some play on Live from PS, having come fresh from several days on FH2, Drive Club doesn't look as much fun. Of course they are different kinds of racer, open world/track based which probably makes a big difference, but I suppose it depends on what the individual is looking for.

That said, I will be trying it for myself, watching game play and playing it are like night and day.

I hope it's better than FH2. I really think it's very average. The car interiors are woeful in game and the handling is really squirrely. It also has the most irritating presentation in a racing game. Hipster trash and that numpty who hosts the thing. I am not your 'mate', you are an irritating twonk and I would happily run you over. Just shut up!
Also it gets really annoying knocking over the same phone booth every lap. Quite quick to rebuild the scenery these French folk.

Not really, we have Tesco but they're nowhere near as impressive as some of the Tesco Extra stores I've been in, in the UK. My local Tesco doesn't even sell games. They have just one meter of space to DVDs, yes DVDs, no blu Rays. We don't have Asda, Sainsburys, Iceland, Co-Op etc. we can buy from Amazon UK but what we buy must be fulfilled by Amazon, no other sellers deliver here. Grrrr. These are just some things I miss about living in Scotland.

Well, it's out in the US and the impressions are overwhelmingly positive. People are loving the handling, saying it looks even better in motion than in screenshots and you'd never know it was "only" 30fps.

Unsurprisingly, the servers went down so it's all single-player at the moment.

Let's see if the reviews are as positive this afternoon.

I'm getting the digital version so not sure if that's included in it. Might cancel my preorder and just get the disc version from Sainsburys instead, don't want to miss out on any of the action! I hope one of the objectives is to come first, that'll be easy

Cheers for the reminder. Mine is pre downloading now too.

Anyone have any details on the companion app ?

Edit:

Quote:
“DriveClub's free companion app is now available to download on Android, with an iOS release expected to roll out soon.

MyDriveClub lets DriveClub players keep track of their in-game activity, including viewing the latest progress on Challenges and staying up to speed on their club. You'll also be able to create new Challenges directly from the app to send out to rival clubs.

Unique to the app is a new Replay Viewer, which provides a top-down map of previous challenge attempts to let players work out where they went wrong on earlier laps.

The app will also notify you of when your friends begin to live stream and let you check out their broadcasts directly from the app.

DriveClub launches in the US today and in the UK this Friday, October 10. Look out for our review later today.”
