OK! Just managed to get online and set up a club. I've invited the only two friends on my list with the game, so have room for three more at the moment.

It's in between the rookie cup and amateur cup. I've 3 starred everything up to that event.

I'm currently on the Spyker drifting challenge. I find just bashing the handbrake is enough to get a drift going as this game seems to treat a skid in the same light as an actual drift.

I love the graphics and was expecting something arcade like so all in all I have to say I am not disappointed as it's just a fun, pick me up racer that doesn't take too long to master. Like others, I just want them to fix the on line aspect as the game seems somewhat crippled without it.

I have a wide ranging taste in genres so I am also looking forward to Project Cars.

Yeah, I'm on that at the minute. Struggling to get the 3rd star. First event that's really challenging me.

More worryingly, I just suffered a game freeze on this event. Only way to fix was to close the application and restart. Fortunately not hurt my saved data.

As for online, occasionally it will popup that it has re-established connection with the server, only for it to have failed again by the time I've finished whatever event I'm doing. But I'm quite happy blasting through the tour for now anyway.

Actually it is the BMW one. It took a long time to get the 3 stars.

Well that update has done absolutely heehaw and I still can't get online. I'm going to go back and try & get 3 stars in the events that I've failed on so far but don't want to progress much further so that the XP goes towards to the club. Going to crack on with Infamous First Light and hopefully it'll fixed in a day or two

It's like half connecting me at the minute. Can't get into the club but triangle is bringing up the social hub.

Oh and I tried remote play on this and I can't do it. I did a time trial that I tried earlier on the TV, and I'm 13 seconds a lap slower on the vita. That won't do.

Oh and the Pagani is a beast of a car.

Was someone earlier saying they couldn't just repeat a part of a championship? Just go restart and choose round.

Normally it works but not if it's one of the big trophy events.

Still a lot of issues with their servers. I was a member of Digital Spy 1 and then I've just logged on now and it says I'm not a member of any club. If I re-accept the invitation it seem like it completes but once again says I don't belong to any club.

What i wanted to moan about though is how they've lied about 1 in 1 out. Once you are in your in - NO. Last night i got green joined messages, then i got red disconnects!!! I was in then i wasn't!

How did you guys get into the beta ?
Wait....its a paid beta.

It was 1 in 1 out to begin with, but they've since warned there would be disconnects as they ran diagnostics on the servers.

I struggled for guest few attempts, but switched to bonnet cam where I found I could judge and line up the angles better and nailed it first time.

Managed to scrape 2 stars on the drift challenge but I have no idea what the hell I'm doing

I've got 2 stars on the Maserati drifting one. It's really hard.

Servers are kinda up now. I can get into the club but there isn't much I can do in there, like adding people. Points earned does contribute to the club points.

And I find the drifting events the best way of getting points. A few thousand points for less than a minutes work.

Finally got 3 stars in the BMW drift event & 3 stars in all the events I've played so far so I'm going to take a break until the servers are working properly. Didn't get into anything at all online today. Peggle 2 is out on Wednesday so hopefully they're worki by then or it'll be all Peggle, Peggle, Peggle!

The servers are stable enough now. The club is up to level 5 and I accepted some new members.

I found the drift events a lot easier using a manual gearbox as you can change down during the corner to keep the drift going. Also I found turning the opposite way to the corner just before the corner helps get the back out. I think this is called the Scandinavian flick in rallying

Well, after saying that I won't play again for a while, I've just been playing for the last 2 hours lol It's a great game, really addictive & looks and handles superbly with lots to do, even though the servers are being wank.

Just reached driver level 22 and have won every star up to & including the amateur tournament. The club is at level 7 now but only 3 people showing as members? I sent some invites too but it kept saying please wait so don't know if it worked or not

They do. I've only just come out the battlefield beta after a year its pretty much working how it should.

I got a game alert through the PS app last night, which was an invite to the club (cheers OMTT - looking forward to joining). I have been able to get online for a decent period of time once since the game launched. The matchmaking for the races seem to take an age, and it was all super or hyper cars (which would have been a stretch for me as I am still poodling around in my Mini..) The club list was there ( I am free agent currently) but you couldn't do much with it. I guess they will slowly release the features as things stabilise. That one moment aside - every once in a while, some green writing will scroll across the screen saying during a race saying "you are connected" but it turns red by the end of the straight (by which time I have crashed due the excitement).

All the online stuff aside, I am loving the game. The driving is just great fun. I have not got very far, but am really enjoying the time trials. I am still struggling to get to 1:46 on the VW trial in Scotland - I need to shave about half a second off. The races are great fun. I don't have an issue with the AI really - it is aggressive but not overly so, and they seem to jostle with each other. I did note a trophy for a top three finish without hitting another car, that will be tricky..

I am using auto gears at the moment. Is everyone else manual??
