I'm online, just can't race anybody! Matchmaking fails everytime. Why does it take so long between rounds as well? That's when it works.

Yes, that's what I had to do. It took about 25 attempts but I finally got it to work.

Never - ever - had to go through this with an update to any other game on the PS4. It's usually an effortless process.

The update downloaded overnight for me. Played for a hour with no disconnections & managed to complete the semi pro trophy😄

Digital Spy 1 are now at level 14. I got an accolade for maxing out driving the Bentley Continental and earned at shedload of XP.

Out of all the events up to and including the semi pro event, there's 3 stars I've not been able to get. 1 in each of the drift events just before the semi pro event & the time trial one where you need to get 1:45 (Blackhills?) I can only get 1:47 at best

I've been on it for about 3 hours with very little downtime.

We're up to level 13 now

Edit: I just got a progress update which added 100k exp to the club. That must be what you've added. I've not seen that before.

I've 3 starred everything up to the Italy vs Germany race. I've just done the pro trophy. Now for the legend one.

Any tips for the Maserati drift event? Can only do about 7,500 but it requires 9,200 for third star.

Will come back to it but for now I'd rather do other events. It won't beat me though.

I'll be back on as soon as I get home (thank goodness for remote play on the Vita!!). OMTT and I are pretty much going at the same pace, which should mean I'm close to making out the Bentley too, so another load of XP coming to the team for that!!

The social side of this game is really starting to become apparent. I didn't quite get it from all of the announcement stuff, but it is clear to see how we are all interacting that the premise of this game is actually very good when it eventually becomes solid for everyone.

Lol, no you won't. If I remember rightly there's a few straights on that one so you can rack up a few thousand points from speed alone without taking the drifts into account.

To the speed points get added to the drift points to go towards the total amount to pass?

Hmm. I'd be tempted but I'm not sure what would happen to my club if I left it. I kinda don't want to lose it even though it's only currently me and my US PSN account in there!

I found it smoother post update. This morning anyway. PSN issue maybe?

Yes. You get the drift points in the drift areas and speed points in the speed areas and these get added together for your total. So sometimes it worth it to give up some drift points to come out of a corner fast to get more speed points.

Twice tonight I've levelled up accolades and twice it's disconnected me at the bed of the race so they don't count towards the DS3 club. Sorry guys, nothing I can do about it!

Love the game, frustrated with the online aspect at the moment. It was working great today, but since problems with PSN it's been a pain...

Stopped working at 11am ish for me, well before PSN issues. Just before I would have all starred second cup. Quickly pressed PS button and closed DC before race end (as soon as the red disconnect message appeared). So should still be able to add those points to club if I can do it again. DS3 went up from 2 to 5 in an hour this morning and I think it was just you and I (mainly you!).
