How do you invite someone to race?
If you press triangle you bring up the social hub, you can join someone's multiplayer session there and ye can just race away together .... I think.

I've tried that but ended up just sitting for 10 minutes doing nothing. Don't know if they were actually in a lobby or if it showed them as being online because they were signed into the server but actually just doing career?

Online still to flakey to attempt anything really.

Ai are weird. They actually match your speed. I was doing a 3 lap on Scotland track and spin out lap 1. I decides to let them go and just crawl along to gain the star for clean lap. Even though I was going slowish I'd still catch up with them. Once I got the clean lap I then went on to finish 3rd.

PSN being a dick again, really slow with messages. Keep getting errors syncing with lobby online. Can't see any option for private race, can't vekice they don't have that option!

Like the new club paint job 👍

I was ahead for a while that second race but clipped a barrier & ended up facing the other way and finished 4th overall. You done well the first race finishing 3rd, I finished 4th then too.

The errors are annoying but at least it's working better now online. A few more tweaks and it'll be all good.

Yeah the connecting to players bit takes an age. Hopefully that goes quicker when they get it all working. Seems not bad but very easily taken out probably isn't always intentional.

The second race, I held back a bit at the first corner and zig zagged my way through the carnage

I have never managed a clean lap. I get rammed off the track every time! Must try trundling!

The "rubber banding" annoys me. I mentioned earlier that I like to cheat to get my stars. On a fastest lap time event, I often let the AI opponents race ahead for about 40 seconds so I'm not interrupted during my fast lap but I always catch up in no time, yet if I do I good lap, they're right on my tail. That annoys me. Either they're good or they're not.

I had a mess about with the paint jobs. Feel free to do a paint job (if you're allowed to).

You'll love the playstation tropheys where you have to finish on the podium bug not lose any points due to collisions. It's a toughie !!

I can't see how I'm ever going to get that no collisions trophy. Club DS1 was up to 19 last night as I'd finished the Pro Cup (finally!! The rust coloured RF was the one that worked best for me on that one).

The devs have confirmed that if you're way behind the AI will slow down to allow you to get back into the race, but that they won't find magical extra speed/skill up to catch up with you if you're way ahead. I guess it's an accessibility thing. I must admit I've been thankful for it at times when I've spun out due to an overly aggressive AI clipping my rear bumper.

Man, I'm trying so hard not to give in and look at any images of the Northern Lights... I want it to happen organically during a race so that I then lose concentration looking at the pretties and crash. Like I did yesterday when I noticed the tail lights reflect the environment and other cars.

So glad that 3rd, 1st, 3rd was enough to secure the overall championship on the Pro trophy and get all the stars. Had to fight for my life and endless restarting just to maintain 3rd on that final race, tonnes of blocking to keep them at bay. They're even more mental if you give them a bit of horsepower and cars I haven't unlocked yet!

DS4 was level 12 last time I checked, so we're getting there!

I did that on the race where you have that first drift face off. Lots of restarting involved, but it helped getting familiar with when and where to overtake and what the AI were up to. Got past them all just after the drift area and it was plain sailing after that, because it's only crashes with other cars that deny the trophy, you can get away with minor scuffs, it's only when you see the dreaded words 'vehicle impact' that you need to restart.

I done the no collision one on one of the early races. Think it was in Chile, the one which has the buildings with the telescopes in it. Just a short race so not too tough

I posted on the driveclub Facebook page that I thought they should introduce a "prestige" type progression for when you reach level 50 that will award a paint job marking prestige level then reset tour events and your level (whilst keeping xp earned). What do you think?

Sounds good ian. Though I'm even struggling on the amatuer.

Not to detract too much from the game but I often think the screen looks a little stuttery. Is this cause its 30fps and not 60 ?

Hmm. It's one of the smoothest 30fps games I've ever played and if someone told me it was 60fps I would probably believe them. To me it feels smoother than Battlefield 4 which is supposedly 60fps, though is presumably all over the shop.

The only stutter I've encountered is that slight pause when you cross the finish line. The devs have said they're going to fix that in an upcoming patch.

Haven't noticed any stuttering. When you're going fast in the hyper cars, it's so smooth & fast, it's one of the only racers I've played where you get a proper sense of speed.

One addition I'd like other than the fixes like leaderboards & confirmed things like weather & replays are to have private lobbies for online races

No it's not that freeze when you criss the finish line, though would be nice to smooth that out too. It's general driving. Could just be my imagination.
