Tried another online game there. Total shocker. Was like a stock car race. In fact they'd take more care of their cars. Also ran across a speed face off where by we had to beat 9762 mph. Erm....ok.

The Zonda is a fantastic car. I blitzed through some of the hyper races with it.
The venom time trial is stumping me too. I can only get one star in it. Maxed out the accolade for that car too. Skipped some of the Hyper events to get the Legend trophy done. Somehow managed to scrape the overall victory and get 8/9 stars... could've screamed bloody murder when I buggered up the last corner, but was still in 2nd and then got pipped on the line to finish 4th. I thought I was getting better with the Venom before then, but it's even more awful on track circuits. I've done an 1:18:525 on the Venom TT, I've no idea where an extra 2.5+ seconds is supposed to come from! That was my max, I crashed with excitement on the proceeding lap.I really do hope all our times are being saved somewhere and will just magically appear when full functionality is restored. I'll be damned if I've got to do all these times again. At present I can only see myself on the Cayoosh Trials and Venom Hot Lap leaderboards. Quote:

It is possible!! Finally did Venom Hot lap with time of 1:15:926!!
My tip would be take the first fast right hander fast sliding side ways using the handbrake and bounce off the tyre wall, no penalty as long as sideways.. Couldn't see a way of cutting time anywhere else on the track. |

I was trying to max out some accolades , mainly the drifting one so I used the venom on that track and you can get around a lot of the corners really fast with a drift. Saying that, I still haven't got the 3 stars on it.

As much as I want to play it, and can see myself buying the full game if I like it, I don't want to go through another BF4 fiasco again (even though I enjoy that game, my experience was severly tarnished with all the issues). I'd rather wait until all the problems are sorted, and I've been able to try the game.
I've got Destiny to keep me busy atm anyway. it's frankly embarrassing it's taking this long to sort out the servers. Can you imagine those people who have bought a PS4 bundle with Driveclub? if they can't logon....what a great introduction... |

Agreed. A right fiasco anyway - supposed to be a launch title...then stripped back features from the 'free' game and then delay the free game....

Online racing seems to be an issue, although I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or my internet is deemed too crappy or bogged down to handle the connection. I tried to do an online race five times last night and only managed to connect once (came second in that race using the Club Bentley. Some sulky brat we were playing against didn't seem to like the fact I had a faster car than he did and was just shouting "this is bullsh*t" the whole way through the race, and finally left the race on the final lap". I don't think it matter show good the game is online, if we are always going to get idiots who can't stand to lose and quit then I just can't see the appeal in playing the online races unless they are just with friends!!). I'm slowly plugging away at the solo tour. I think I'm at around 161 stars and need another 4 to unlcock the next section. Finding the hyper cars a bit hard to handle though. Fine in races, but for timed laps and drifts I'm completely done for!! |

I need to put some serious time into this game. been playing FH2 most of the time. I just find it easier to play than DC.

Im finding I need to be equally as rough with the ai. Sometimes the only way to get anywhere in the game Unfortunately.

I think so as I got it when servers for the most are up. I wouldnt buy the season pass though till they address penalties online and the ai. It really does need fixed. I now wonder how bad the game must have been a year ago. The ramming etc worked for motorstorm but not for this type of racing.
I've only 2 stars left to get, both on the venom one. This could take forever. |

I've only just got through amateur and at that missed a few plus no trophy earned yet. I'm a slow burner but at least there's still points to come for ds3.

First day I've had of long term connection issues. Lost a load of points in the Monos v Atoms championship, but at least prior to that I put a 5th level on the Bentley accolade and DS4 now has the Zonda to play with.
![]() I know it'd kill what little juice the servers have now, but eventually they do need a refresh connection button or something, because at the minute my work around is to go into single player time trial, park up and do nothing until the connection is up again. |

I've been playing since about half 2 and the servers only went offline about twice, and only for a few seconds.
