You make some good points, and what is working in Driveclub, is excellent.

But I think it's ok that people be annoyed with Sony and Evolution. Driveclub is a broken game, and people have paid good money for it. The price of Driveclub digitally is very good, but it's still a broken product. You wouldn't accept any other broken or partially working product, except a video game. You wouldn't buy a car where only 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears worked, but not 4th, 5th or reverse. You would be right back onto the garage and/or manufacturer telling them to shove their half working car, and that you wanted a refund.

Obviously, there's no need for the people who go overboard with nastiness. We've seen this before. Gamers can be a nasty bunch on the Internet.

I'm sure Evolution are working around the clock to fix everything, and I really hope Sony is giving as much help as they need. But that doesn't mean it's not frustrating for all the people who bought it. If it wasn't such a good game then I don't think people would care.
Sure, I get that it's frustrating and disappointing. But I'm not sure why people don't just get a refund if it's that bothersome. Ranting on the internet and being Angry of Tunbridge Wells doesn't help anyone. Sure the online's flaky as **** at the moment, and I don't think the 'challenges' have even worked once, but those will come as they resolve whatever is the root of the issues.

The core game is awesome in my view, good enough that it's even broken the monopoly on my gaming time of TLOU multiplayer (no mean feat) even without the online component up and running properly. I just think it's going to be a massive shame if the game (and possibly Evolution) dies a death because of the online situation. Even before the game launched and all of this flared up there seemed to be a large collection of people on the internet (and in some press quarters too) who were badmouthing it and actively wanted it to fail - I just don't get that attitude.

People who bought the digital copy can't get a refund, (unless they've unlocked less than 10% of the tropheys), and I imagine that's a lot of people as it was quite a good deal.

I have no doubt that they will fix everything eventually, but how long are we to sit around waiting. A lot of us here have completed the tour, but what are to do in the meantime? I would love to get the season pass as there's a hell of a lot more events in that, but I can't part with more money until they fix it.

I wouldn't wish for any company to go under, especially as they have made a great game. But I really really hope they, and every other company out there, learns from this that they can't release a broken game. Proper testing is essential, especially on online games. I've heard the same excuse "we weren't expecting such high demand", too many times this year alone.

What will it cost you? About £30? Well worth that for the tour mode alone IMHO.

Did anyone go for the season pass? Has any of that content been made available yet?
Yeah I bought the season pass but nothing available yet AFAIK.

Where did you get the 10% trophy cut-off figure from? I've been following the OT on Gaf since launch and as far as I can tell everyone who has asked for a refund from the PS store has received one.

I think the problem with giving a realistic ETA on solving all the online issues is that they just don't currently know. If it was just a server load issue then, presumably, just adding more servers would produce a solution. I believe the game director suggested at some point the fundamental issue was to do with the software of the servers - i.e. presumably they're having to rewrite code. I don't believe they've used the 'high demand' excuse either?

Getting to level 50 requires a lot of grinding it seems. So slow to level up now. Currently lvl 45.

Can't believe they haven't fixed the average speed faceoff glitch yet. Surely can't be that difficult to sort this one ?

I don't remember where I originally seen it but there's loads of references to it when I googled "Driveclub refund 10%" like here.
But maybe they're offering them to anyone who wants one.

Oh I just hope they fix it soon as the longer this goes on, the worse it gets for them.

Accolades are the key to levelling. They're the only things that give you decent exp.

Tamil Nadu 2 is imprinted in my mind. I dread to think how many hours I've sank into that track doing 1 lap races over and over! I only need about 300-400k more XP and then I'm in the waiting for challenges club to get the plat.

Some of the accolades seem a bit dubious in terms of what they are worth.

Maxing out drifting is only worth 22,500 and yet it says I need to drift for 87 miles to complete.

That's a hell of a lot of drifting required. Surely worth more than 22,500.

I've been doing Tamil Nadu 1 over and over, same one used for Venom Hot Lap. Not sure if I'll bother for 'Credit where it's due' trophy, seems a lot more grinding is required to max out one of the gameplay modes and I'm nowhere near on any.

Cool. Maybe allows game to point to additional servers that they haven't quite turned on yet.

Sony are rolling out the big guns in the name of damage limitation, in the form of Shuhei Yoshida - President of World Wide Studios

Hi everyone,

I wanted to provide you with the latest update on DRIVECLUB. Unfortunately, the road to launch has been a little rocky, and we are truly sorry that so many of you have not been able to enjoy everything that we had hoped DRIVECLUB would deliver.

We have been listening to your feedback and realize that patience understandably is running out. Evo is working around the clock to close the gap, and we have deployed additional engineering resources to help resolve the remaining issues as soon as possible. Unfortunately, the time frames required to roll out the fully connected experience will be longer than anticipated and we do not have an exact time frame for when they will be resolved. We will continue to update you on progress and you can find the latest info on the DRIVECLUB Facebook page.

We are also very conscious that we have disappointed so many of you who were looking forward to playing the promised PS Plus Edition. Our first priority is to provide you with the best possible experience while playing DRIVECLUB. With the high volume of new players and additional server load the PS Plus Edition is anticipated to bring, we are currently not confident that we can guarantee the best online experience. Until we can ensure that everyone can enjoy the full social connected online experience, we will be postponing the release of the PS Plus Edition until further notice.

On behalf of WWS we are enormously grateful for your patience and we thank you for the continued support and encouragement. Again, we sincerely apologize for the delay. We are committed to giving you the best racing experience on PS4 – it’s taking a little longer than we hoped.

Thanks,
Shu

Singstar is available isn't it? Sure I noticed it the other day.

Yeah but most folk lost most of the songs and all the modes that made it what it was is missing. mics are now also next to silent and purchases are not showing

Anyway...on DC. I've come to the conclusion I simply can't drive in car games. I can't now get by or complete the semi pro so think I've reached my limit Unfortunately. I can't find a car to stick enough to the road for my driving.

Getting a clean lap was tough going, managed to do the race in 3 stages, Lap 1 get into first position, Lap 2 go for the 1.40 mins lap time, Lap 3 take it easy with a clean lap.

It worked quite well..... on second attempt

Or just let everyone go ahead of you and be a Sunday driver.

Clean lap done.
