Sure the online's flaky as **** at the moment, and I don't think the 'challenges' have even worked once, but those will come as they resolve whatever is the root of the issues.
The core game is awesome in my view, good enough that it's even broken the monopoly on my gaming time of TLOU multiplayer (no mean feat) even without the online component up and running properly. I just think it's going to be a massive shame if the game (and possibly Evolution) dies a death because of the online situation. Even before the game launched and all of this flared up there seemed to be a large collection of people on the internet (and in some press quarters too) who were badmouthing it and actively wanted it to fail - I just don't get that attitude.”
People who bought the digital copy can't get a refund, (unless they've unlocked less than 10% of the tropheys), and I imagine that's a lot of people as it was quite a good deal.
I have no doubt that they will fix everything eventually, but how long are we to sit around waiting. A lot of us here have completed the tour, but what are to do in the meantime? I would love to get the season pass as there's a hell of a lot more events in that, but I can't part with more money until they fix it.
I wouldn't wish for any company to go under, especially as they have made a great game. But I really really hope they, and every other company out there, learns from this that they can't release a broken game. Proper testing is essential, especially on online games. I've heard the same excuse "we weren't expecting such high demand", too many times this year alone.
