A lot of the leaderboard times are just plain knackered.
One of the Scotland point to point times was 9 seconds. That wasn't even in the top fifty, lol. It had OMTT s time down as 100 mins or something ridiculous! No wonder you can't beat Lisa, what you driving? A steamroller?

That's your choice of course. But by doing so you're denying yourself the excellent single player mode, and I've managed to get a load of multiplayer races with no trouble.
I'm not defending the game at all, they should have got it right first time, but it's my most played game this past month even with all the issues. As for the multiplayer yes i have played it when its worked and it was ok but to be honest it is like playing Destruction Derby. The Xboners must be pissing themselves at this huge balls up. |

How am i denying myself something i have already done to death? In the first couple of weeks you had no chose but to batter the living daylights out of the single player mode, i was at level 30 odd before any points i earned were added to my club FFS.

They're all to busy playing Halo online. Oh, wait... 👅
![]() ![]() ![]() Yeah it's strange how all the Driveclub shit-flinging died down substantially once MCC hit... |

Anyhoo, the patch is now apparently live with 3 new tracks and the photo made. It's just a shame we can't embed pictures here. |

Patch 1.07 is now available including the photo mode where you just tap the touch pad mid race and it brings up a whole host of options

Yeah, 3 new tracks - all including reverse variants: Yedapalli in India, Los Pelambres in Chile and Wester Ross in Scotland.
Won't be able to check them out until tonight. ![]() DILEMMAS! |

My favourite of the new tracks is the Scotland one. Nice scenery, train going of the bridge, driving through the ruins etc with lots of fast straights. The India one is good for drifts & the Chile one is pretty short but makes for tight races. Made a wee Shareplay video of the new tracks http://youtu.be/KnaHUJNUrHo

I like how they've added extra functions to a mode that doesn't even work.

Driveclub was delayed by almost a year and has been out over a month now and it seems like the game released was when it was still not complete and working.

Might seem a silly question but my son is trying the photo mode. It looks impressive to get that shot but how do you take the pic ?
Is it from outside the game? Ie share button or is there a button to snap it in game ? To add to above. If it's share button then what is the progress bar indicating ? |

Sure. I'm just pointing out that Halo MCC which is broken in a comparable way isn't getting nearly as much negative press as DC. I find that an interesting contrast.
Driveclub was a game I was looking forward to getting as driving games have been sadly lacking on the PS4 but when this game got delayed I was hoping for something truly fantastic to be released. However when Driveclub was finally released as what felt like an incomplete game that only had average reviews and a broken online mode I thought I would wait for the PS+ version to see what I thought, but this version has now been delayed so I have become a little bitter towards the game. When I look at MCC I don't see it as quite the same line up of issues with the game. Sure the online mode is not very good at the moment but 343 and MS seem to be very proactive to try and resolve these issues as you can see from the almost daily updates on the issue. |

My issue is much more to do with how the games press are handling these things at the moment. There's been a fair few games launch with problems recently, but the majority of ire seemed to get directed at Drivcclub. I can only think that's because it's a Sony exclusive and many people, some of the games press included, are willing MS to catch up - hence people pushing narratives such as 'PS4 has no games', or 'Xbox has the best exclusives' or 'Sony keep ****ing up' or 'No one noticed 1080p anyway'. Some of it is just console warrior nonsense, but the press seeming to get on board with it bothers me more. From what I've been reading on Gaf Halo MCC players are finding it impossible to get online to play MP (main selling point) but are also experience corrupted save files, missing levels etc. I don't see it as dissimilar, really. Meanwhile that game gets review scores of 9 and 10s despite being essentially broken, yet Driveclub gets sites like Polygon taking 2 or more points off for it's online issues. I'm seeing inconsistencies in how these issues are being reflected, that's all. That's not to say it's not a compete bummer DC shipped in the state it did, |

The progress bar is showing post-processing of the scene. It adds another layer of anti-aliasing and improves shadows so the final image is even better than you see in-game. On a side note, has anyone had any issues with their PS4 since the DriveClub update? My PS4 has frozen up twice while I was on the dashboard with DC running in the background. |

I've been playing a fair bit tonight, going after accolades and levelling up my club. Didn't try a multiplayer race but all the other online stuff (bar challenges which is still greyed out) seemed tp be functioning perfectly - leaderboards updating immediately, face-offs loading straight away, several ghosts to race against in the time-trial mode (and updating quickly if you beat one). Seems like the patch sorted out a myriad of issues

It was working fairly well last night. Possibly between the patch and less players on it now.
Ps.these photo modes make me appreciate the amount of detail that is on screen in these games. Its absolutely fantastic. I can get lost in photo mode. I've seen some of the pics folk have posted on official ps forums and it makes you want to jump back in. Although I did see a house that didn't quite sit on a hill properly as I turned around on a Norway track. |
