I find as folk stop challenging one another the game drops off. That was partly where I was going with the times today on dc. Hopefully challenges will do it but gawd knows when it'll come so thought if we manually arrange tracks and specific cars just now to push one another up the leaderboards. The times are recorded anyway.
I was going to get back on to it after shopping today but wife grabbed it for lego batman and now there's a queue behind her for games.

Seems like the servers have completely gone kaput at the minute.

With a bit of luck they're patching the servers.

Oh Trials was good too. We had some good times with that.

Makes me more surprised that people are still playing Driveclub.

Damn damn damn omtt. I managed to shave another second off for 65th place. You're still 34th. I was on your bumper most of way around too.

People are probably sticking by it as its a full price game rather than a budget title so they want to try and justify paying full price. I'm sticking with it as its a great game & I'm still enjoying it & I'll buy the season pass when the first content is released.

I like to have a racing game in my collection and there isn't any others being released that I'm interested in for the forseeable future so I'll probably be playing this up until the next NFS

Just read one of your earlier posts omtt. When you go to leaderboards and global you can then go above that selection and choose to see a particular car. The default is all but you can change it to whatever car you want to. I clicked left once to see golf.

Didn't know that, thanks. Is the fastest time glitched or do you think it's doable?

On that particular track and car I don't think so. It's amazing the difference with someone who can drive the right lines. There are tracks with an @ sign as car name though and some Rediculous times.

Bah. I think that while I was chasing gillyallan's ghost around trying to nose in front of him, Yuffie came along and beat us both!

Man, there was a lot of colourful language thrown at the TV in the past hour.

But it was worth it

What time did you get? I've been trying for the last half hour to get online but I can't sign into PSN, Driveclub or Battlefield servers

I'm off it now but it was about 2 tenth of a second faster. The last red flagged corner is a b1tch and where it all kept going wrong.

Yeah, dunno how OMTT took that last corner but he always came out of fast and then I'd spend the last straight cursing him.

I'm going to have to redo that track tomorrow as I don't feel safe with my time.

The trick with that event is to be as brave as you dare. Nearly all of the yellow corners can be taken flat out if you find the right line, except for corner 2 and the corner before the bridge. You have to watch how much you cut on the bend with steep ridge on the left, spectacularly flipped the car a few times on that bit.

There's loads of time to be had on the bridge and the final 90 degree turn. You can scrub off a bit of speed and flick the car into the bridge turn and still carry plenty of speed, but the last turn I find it better to just throw out the anchors early and accelerate through the corner.

Don't know if it makes any difference, but I also have my controls set up for L1 brake and R1 accelerate. If the game gives me the option I always change it to that as I find it more comfortable than L2/R2.

Bloomin heck. Felt a challenge thinking I'd 2 secs to find on omtt but now 5 on Lisa yikes.

What global position is that Lisa? Do you think No 1 is possible, which would be another 4 secs on your best time ?

This is why I like this game. Folk complain there's no tuning like GT, but at least I know we all have exactly the same car.

How long do we give this track-car combo before moving on ? Who picks next?

I guess there doesn't have to be a time limit on it and someone could set another challenge? A circuit rather than a P2P might be a good bet for the next one.
