Tried the challenge and couldn't get anywhere near the bottom time! Does the car even have brakes???? After about 10 laps, the best I could do was 1:25something & the leaderboards kept disconnecting so I don't know if it recorded it & I never had a ghost to follow.

Only need 1 star to complete the Ignition tour now. Tried for a hour to get it but could only get 59.4 seconds

Gillyallen, I rarely think drifting around corners is faster than slowing down coming up to the corner and then accelerating around it.

For everyone that hates the X Bow Rally as much as I did, stay away from the inside line on that first hairpin, in the double hairpin section. Hug the far wall otherwise you'll just spin every time.
Thanks for the tip. I spent a while trying to get 3 stars on that one. Nailed it once I managed to clear those corners cleanly. That car and those hairpins don't mix.

Even after the little bit of the tour I've played I think I'll get the season pass. I just wish they would sort the challenges out.

Finished the Photo Finish tour but I've 11 stars left to get.

6 in Britain v Germany
1 in BMW Hot Lap
2 in P1 Hot Lap
2 in Photo Finish Trophy (speed face off & beat Hannah)

I think I'll leave em for another day.

Oh and some douchebag has came in and got the no1 time on the global leaderboard for our challenge. How dare he ?

On our challenge a few of us are showing joint rank yet clearly one has a better time than other ?
This when my friends is highlighted. If you select global its fixed.

Clay and liitle are joint 4th. Im joint 8th with mickey.

On mine it showed Lisa as 1st even though E5 was above her showing 2nd.

And I'm clearly faster than Yuffie

Yuffie was doing my head in on final turns on to finish straight. He had a fastest average speed I couldn't quite catch. Tried and tried and then game decided I wasnt doing that any longer and gave me a driving line challenge with a random instead.

Lol. I couldn't even beat your average speed on that bit. I never even saw yuffie's ghost, I was chasing Ian's, and when I beat it I'd beaten both of them.

Serves me right. Wife away for the weekend, kids playing happily in the toy room, so I decide to have a go at the challenge in the afternoon.

After dinner I look in the toy room.. **** me, it looks like Christmas exploded in it.

Apparently making glitter Christmas cards on the carpet was a brilliant idea.

Unfortunately it now looks like they turned the carpet into one.

So another day of this for me to chase down ian. I guess we all have our ideas of how best to get round this but 2 parts of mine are a very fine line to disaster so hard for me to get both right.....but I live in hope

One thing I've not asked you all. Are you on auto or manual gears ?

I'm auto as crap with manual on racing games.

Auto. Always auto.

I wouldn't even attempt manual.

Auto, there's enough to cope with as it is! I've never been able to get to grips with driving manual in racing games even though I drive a manual in normal life.

It is weird. In driving games I only want steering, accelerator, brakes and handbrake, yet with say shooters I'm happy to use every button on my controller. .

Auto apart from the drift events where I use manual. I find it easier to keep drifting if I can change gears when I want.

Jeeezus denzil. Could you be any closer to me? .005 behind me. You must've been gutted.

I couldn't beat my time but took a few top speeds at top and bottom of track which I was happy with. Oh and toppled my car a few times. Should be a pic on whats new section.

Ok you know I love the game but have mentioned it a little jerky to my eyes. My son is playing nfs rivals just now and I'm pretty sure that is looking smoother. I don't see any background jerkyness.

Is it possible nfs is TOO smooth and what I'm seeing is driveclub trying to convey more accurately the road surface and so sort of camera shake ?

I followed the ghosts and "straightened out" the very first chicane which helped drop down the lap time. Have a watch of one to get a line to cut in to the first part of the chicane which lessens the chance of losing grip and drifting.

Hope it helps!

I dropped a sec off my time before reading above.
Is anyone managing to take that back chicane without lifting off ? So easy to spin out so I normally lift a touch.
