I think they're all based on real places, but precedence is given to track design over faithfulness to the location. Atlantic Road in Norway is a real thing, for instance. I've seen some people on Gaf say they recognise various parts of various tracks.

Do you all occasionally get the CE screen if messing around in challenge leaderboards ?

I got one last night when loading a track, but i assumed it was because I'd had it suspended for 2 hours while I watched a movie.

Lisa... total respect to you. You have no ghost to work with yet have a great time. I've managed to pull about 0.2 behind you now so guess there's more time for you on the track.

Apparently weather is now live in multiplayer.

I don't even have my own to work with on this one that much, sometimes it appears and then either my crappy ghosts or this weird thing where it decides I'm whatever time I set in each sector behind and then I only find out as I cross the line how far I was actually behind. Found another half a second, really have to make the most of the semi-dry laps that appear every few go rounds.

Weirdly I got my best lap in the wet. My biggest bugbear is the last tricky corner as you come downhill before the last straight.

That's the one I keep messing up on. I got it perfect once but it made no difference as I messed up earlier in the lap. As great as the rain looks, I can't play on it too long. I feel like I'm straining my eyes more to try and see and it looks a bit blurry because of the droplets on the screen

Done a few laps before switching off for the football & Lisa's ghost didn't show, only my one after I done a lap. It's probably the game's way of telling me not to bother chasing it as I'll never catch it lol I only try and beat other's times anyway as Lisa's always miles ahead of everyone and there's more competition in the best of the rest category lol I did beat your time gillyallan before I switched off, by the grand total of .006 lol

I think there's been a bit of a re-influx of players since the weather hit, which may explain why the leaderboard etc seem a little flaky again.

Gillyallan - how come you've got so good all of a sudden? I'm struggling to keep up with any of you!

And yeah, I hate that last bend on that track. It's always those kind of ones I find most difficult - the long gentle curves that turn sharper than you think at the very end just to f*** you up. Grrr.

Having said that I've turned ghosts off because it became distracting to see just Lisa's ghost speeding off into the distance. If it showed the next player up it would be different, because it would give me something that felt achievable to aim for.

I wish it showed next player up too. Also wish it didn't show my last lap as keep thinking I'm doing well beating it.

Will I still be able to take part in the challenges when my PS+ runs out ?. It's due to run out in Jan but I'm not going to bother renewing it. It's the challenges that makes DC fun for me.

I Wouldn't think so officially though guess you could do it offline and post a screenshot of your results. You probably won't get anyone's ghost though.

I believe one of the features of PS+ is to activate the whole MP experience so to speak. Well whatever MP experience we can get out of Sonys networks that is...
