Looks lovely. Am I mistaken in thinking the dynamic weather will not be there on launch? Will get ps plus version and see what I think before buying. It was on my preorder list for launch day but I cancelled to get other things instead.

Some details about the tracks have been revealed.
There are 5 locations. Each location will have 2 x point-to-point and 2 x racing circuits, all of which can also be raced in reverse. Each location will also have a fictional (and as yet to be shown) racetrack, each with 3 variations. So 55 different races altogether. Seems pretty comprehensive and with DLC adding further content later on it should keep drivers occupied for a while. |

Are any of the locations based on real roads or tracks then?

They seem to be fictitious tracks based in real world locations. So Scotland will look like Scotland, there may even be elements you recognise from real life, but the tracks themselves will be made up.

Cool thanks. So maybe stick Eilean Donan in or Stirling Castle or something.

As well as the PS+ Edition and the retail version, there will also be a Special Edition of Driveclub.
It will include Foil treated, unique artwork housed in a high-quality card sleeve. Instant access to five high performance cars, each with an exclusive livery design: McLaren P1 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe Black Series Ferrari 458 Italia Aston Martin v12 Vantage S Alfa Romeo 4C 2 exclusive in-game livery packs to customise your car and club logo. 2 DRIVECLUB emblem vinyl stickers (one white, one red) – perfect for your laptop or games console. Hopefully we should see a lot more of the game coming out of Gamescom over the next few days. |

I really want a racing game for the 4, and the crew seemed boring so I really hope this is good.

By all accounts it looks, sounds and plays great. And long as the structure and longevity are there we should be onto a winner. |

It's not a sim, which will be a turn-off for some, but as a pick up and play racer I keep hearing great things.

I think if it's good enough I might upgrade from the ps+ to the full one. I wouldn't want a sim racing game.
Actually I'm really finding the ps4 more social than the previous gen. This could be a good game to play online. The Facebook/Twitter/Twitch/Ustream integration on PS4, combined with photo-modes, sharing, live streaming etc is already great, pushing gaming even further into the mainstream. The forthcoming YouTube stuff will increase it further still. The social aspect was one of the initial draws towards PS4 for me. |

Worse case scenario is, Driveclub ends up being a bit of a disappointment. But we all still get a technically stunning racer to mess about on with our mates for "free". We can't lose really.

Do you remember when they announced the live streaming, if someone was struggling in game, you could jump in help them / do the part for them ?? Or am I imagining that ? |

What would be nice if they offered those who pre ordered the GAME Exclusive bundle at launch Nov 29th the chance to get the copy that was part of that bundle.

But its also not an arcade racer, should be interesting to see how this turns out.
I remember that. It should appear once the PS Now system is up and running as that is what it will be using to allow you to take over someones game. Unless it just never appears. |

Certainly will upgrade if the driving is good on this. I loved the handling in their previous games. I know this wont be that similar, but if it feels right I am all in. The social stuff leaves me a bit cold being honest, I prefer to earn rewards an upgrade myself really - but it all looks like fun and the PS4 desperately needs a nice shiny driving game....

If this is in anyway decent I'll get it. I could do with a good racer.
