I have just changed mobile numbers again, now on my 5th in 28 months. But before that I had the same number for 8 years which I transferred 4 times. I used to be able to remember my number really easy as well as those of family members. I struggling with all changes and I know I will change again in August.

Why not port your number rather than changing it?

14 years I've had mine. Only seems like yesterday and I've never moved from my provider. Always been happy.

Since 2007. I've transferred it three times in the last year.

Why all the changes OP?

Only had one change in 15 years, and that was only so I could have a memorable one matching my home landline

Since 1994 when I got my first phone on Orange. It was quite a cheap phone at the time, I think it began with a 'D'.
I never changed my number because it's linked to my business.

Since 1997. Back when sim cards were credit card sized and phones had extendable antennas.

(Though a '7' was added to the number in 2000 )

Yeah that damn "7". Messed up everything!
Got my Nokia Orange (2140) on 26th August 1996. Stayed on Orange till October last year when I went to EE4G (same number of course).
I had the original Orange 0973 code until that damned 7 came and joined the party.
I also had a really low Orange account number that whole time (around 230,000). They gave them out in sequence back then and they only had 70% coverage.
As if the whole 7 fiasco wasn't enough, I had to lose the account number too and now I have some Hugh number they just made up from nowwhere.

I make it 17 years and 112 days... ish!

I always preferred the palindromic 07973 codes.

Got mine in Dec 1994 !

I was something like 80,000 but lost that when I moved to T-Mobile in 2008 for data. (Orange back then had lost the plot when France Telecom took over).

As if the whole 7 fiasco wasn't enough, I had to lose the account number too and now I have some Hugh number they just made up from nowwhere.

19 years... yikes! and my EE account number is the same as my T-Mobile that I moved from. I'm sure EE's systems are mostly the T-Mobile ones, apart from the voicemail platform.

I got my first mobile in 1998 (a Sagem brick) but changed my number when I got my second phone (the classic Nokia 3210) in 2000. I've had the same number ever since.

I've also had the same work mobile number since 2001.

Same number since about 1994, except for the addition of the '7'.

I've had mine since April 2007 when I took out my first ever contract with Orange as an 18-year-old.
Took it with me to Three back in October.
