If the price of the Michelle-signed T-shirt is £410 with 6 days of the auction still to go, what will its ending price be? And if they do mean to pay, what about the sanity of those who bid such ridiculous figures?”

Well theres a big difference between £10m and £400 but hey, you're sure the bidders have no intention of paying up so i suppose your concerns should be taken into account. Me, I'd rather wait till the auctions over to judge whether theres any funny buisness afoot ~ it's only fair.

Whoa.....Why such negativity...?

To go as far as suggesting the ppl bidding won't pay.

Only a dark evil person would put a fake bid on a charity auction item. I'm sure it is not a common problem.

It'll be interesting to see what the final price is. I'm surprised Vic isn't doing better.

GrandPiano, you do have a curious habit of either failing to read what I write or else deliberately distorting it.

Of course I'm not sure that "the bidders have no intention of paying up". How on earth could I be sure of that? Can you quote me when I said that? However, the non-paying bidder is an all too common problem on eBay, and the more absurd the bidding becomes, the more likely it is that the winning bidder will default. Of course, though, unless negative feedback is eventually posted, we probably won't ever know if the winning bidder does pay.

Im surprised at your input to this thread. Stu was so boring he couldnt beat Shell. I think Aquilas original point was that the auction looked shoddy, which it does. I would expect much more professionalism from Rednose. I could set up an ebay account and sell unauthentic autographs and I doubt it would look much different to their ebay account.

I think its official but then I have to make that judgement about a lot of unknown ebay accounts.

And it is ludicrous that people are bidding so much for Stu and Michelle signed T-shirts. They should have thought harder and given something of more intrinsic value or novelty value.

Why is it ludicrous, can't people spend there own money on what they choose to, and it is for charity,

You were expressing doubts on the WHOLE auction because of a few anomalies you had discovered on the auction page.. You then expressed your doubts at the validity of the actual bidders because the items up for auction didn't meet your high memorabilia standards [as with the poster Turnip]

Wait till the auctions over then you can attack the 'winning' bidder for buying something thats obviously worthless while kids are starving etc etc

its ludicrous coz its a waste of money

someone says "here sign this t-shirt and we will stick it on ebay and get money for it". It would be interesting to see the age of the person who buys it. In a years time its probably worthless.

If you check the past record, someone got a t-shirt and the packaging was so bad the autograph had worn off.

Just coz something is for charity, I dont see why it shouldnt have some sort of worth. They could sell Michelles excrement for charity and I could say "its for charity, why complain ? "

its probably not even a "good" quality t-shirt. Stus red could run and stain your whites

on the other hand, a fool and their money is easily parted (and they have the right to spend it as they wish)

I think Michelle, Stu and Vic are so vain to think that anyone would want to buy there old tatty T-shirts.

Current high bids are:

Victor's shirt: £21 (still!)

Stuart's: £350

Michelle's: £460

Same high bidder for both Stuart's and Michelle's shirts. Since she registered with eBay in January, she's bid on nothing but BB items. Bid £150 for 18 videotapes of BB5 but did not win that auction. (Is it within eBay's rules to sell home-made tapes of TV programmes? I doubt it.)

Hmm.

Well, yellowlabbie, apparently Michelle, Stu and (to a lesser extent) Vic are quite right to think that people want to buy their T-shirts, since the bidding seems remarkably enthusiastic — at least for Michelle's and Stuart's shirts. To be fair, presumably the HMs would be asked by the Comic Relief people to sign the shirts, so I don't think M, S and V are particularly guilty of vanity in this case.

Incidentally, they're not really "old tatty T-shirts": they're new tatty T-shirts...

Why was Michelle asked to sign a t-shirt when they could of asked Shell.

Call me cynical, but Stuart, Michelle and Victor all have the same agent, whilst Shell has a different one.

But obviously someone does want to buy their shirts.

Equally, if the charity approached them, I think it would be rude for them to say no.

Like them or not they were popular character in BB5. Whilst they have their haters, they also had fans.

I'm sure you're right, dawson.

Incidentally, the "News" page of the John Noel Management website contains the following:
"Nadia, Michelle, Stuart and Victor joined John Noel Management after leaving the Big Brother house last year."

I wonder, therefore, why we don't have a Nadia-signed T-shirt on auction? Perhaps, since she won BB, that's still to come as a final, climactic money-spinner for Comic Relief. After all, there's still plenty of time to run an eBay auction before Red Nose Day on March 11th...

Chris, I rather think you may have mentioned that before...

PS: When do you plan to enter the bidding for Michelle's T-shirt? A last-second sniping bid, perhaps?

Surely you couldn't bear to miss out on this chance to acquire something signed by your heroine?

Current high bids are:

Victor's shirt: £31

Stuart's: £350 (Unchanged since yesterday, though high bidder placed another bid today — presumably making a higher proxy bid.)

Michelle's: £510
