The person bidding is an established ebay user.....you can look at their bidding history. It is obviously a fan...

As the auctions are now in their last 24 hours, here are the current prices:

Victor's shirt: £33

Stuart's: £470

Michelle's: £560

Still the same high bidder for both Michelle's and Stuart's shirts.

Incidentally, Bluestone, I'm not clear why you say that "the person bidding is an established eBay user". She registered on 15th January 2005 and has a feedback score of only 1, which makes her pretty much of an eBay newbie in my eyes. However, since everything she's bid on has been BB related, you're certainly right to say she's a fan.

Very often the main bidding activity takes place in the last few minutes (even the last few seconds) of an eBay auction. I wonder if we'll see the same phenomenon in this case? Maybe the bids on Michelle's and Stuart's shirts are now high enough to scare off any other bidders, though.

Victor's shirt: £41

Stuart's: £510

Michelle's: £560

As for several days, the same high bidder for both Michelle's and Stuart's T-shirts.

So she's prepared to pay £1070 for two T-shirts? Bizarre!

And no, I don't think that her main motive for paying that much is charitable; I suspect she's just a somewhat sad Michelle/Stuart obsessive.

Women like Michelle always attract bizarre people.

Might be for a magazine promotion. Heat or OK

Well, chris, dedicated Michelle fan though you undoubtedly are, you have to admit that when it came down to a choice between a T-shirt signed by your heroine and a holiday, you chose the holiday. Here's what you said earlier in this thread:

I'm glad to know that you do have some sense!

I doubt it, Mabelle. Look at the winning bidder's buying history here.

She just looks like a fan to me.

Well maybe carol is extremely wealthy, and a thousand quid is nothing to her.

Also, there has to have been at least one rival bidder, which means she was not the only one prepared to pay such a huge sum for a couple of tee-shirts. Her buying history doesn't preclude the possibility she's bought them for a magazine promo, also.

the one who got the t shirts is a MBi member.

Thanks, sian.

Well, I don't suppose we should be too surprised that the winning bidder is a member of that website...

You must have been a beautiful baby
You must have been a wonderful child
When you were only starting to go to kindergarten
I bet you drove the little boys wild.
And when it came to winning blue ribbons
You must have shown the other kids how.
I can see the judges' eyes as they handed you the prize
You must have made the cutest bow.
You must've been a beautiful baby
'Cause baby look at you now.

Does your mother realize
The stork delivered quite a prize
The day he left you on the family tree?
Does your dad appreciate
That you're merely super great
The miracle of any century?
If they don't just send them both to me.

Well I'm a member of that website and as much as I like Michelle and Stuart, and I know it's for a good cause but I wouldn't have bid that sort of amount for those t-shirts. Good luck to the person that did though and there was quite a few bidding as well and not all Mbi members either. Vics t-shirt went for £41 a lot more affordable but I wasn't tempted.

So, Chris, even for you the lure of the green baize is stronger than the lure of Michelle! You're shattering all my illusions about you. I thought Michelle-worship was a religion with you but, after only a few short months, your faith seems to be weakening. I'm very disappointed with you...

PS You'd have loved having some of Michelle's what? (And please, no coarseness, now. I have a sensitive nature and I'm easily upset.)
