Jumping to timecode in a recorded program on HDR-2000
Robmonster

Morning all,

On my old 9200T I could type in the time location in hours and minutes while playing a recorded program and the box would jump me to that position.

Is there a way of doing this on the HDR-2000 as I've tried tying in the timecode like normal and it doesn't do anything.

The last Humax pvr to have this capability was the 2008 Foxsat-hdr. All the newer ones don't have direct time code entry.

Ah, that's a shame. It came in handy. Thanks for the information.

With the HDR Fox-T2 you can pause the recording which brings up the timebar. You can then move the cursor left/right to a particular time.

See if that works with the 2000T.

Pressing the play button will also bring up the timebar.

Just using my 2000T right now and can confirm that that trick does indeed work.

I've today bought a HDR-Fox T2. Having made good use that function on the 9200 I tried it on the T2 and I found the scrolling very erratic. Is that normal?

It is for us; interested to know what other people observe.

It's not very accurate to use the cursor keys on the playback bar. However if you get close you can use the forward skip key (default +2min) and reverse skip (-15 seconds) to get very close. These are brilliant for ad skipping.

Not had time yet (i.e.When my wife is not watching telly)to investigate but I recall a post some time ago which said that there is and option on the HDR T2 to set forward skip to 4m. I hope that is true as the skip button is one of the most used buttons for me and it's better located than on the 9200. I don't recall seeing the equivalent of the 9200 "Miscellaneous Preferences" Menu option when skimming through the Menu options? Can someone give me a clue?
