Recently I have purchased the Nexus 7 under the impression it was good for the price, reliable, and modern, after using it for a month, it was clearly not... The screen was weak and cracked easily under heat or warmth, dont leave them outside! I have had to return it 3 times because it has crashed and stopped working. The virus protection is poor. If youre looking for a christmas present of the tablet variety, dont be fooled because it is from google, buy a 119 pound kindle fire, they are better in every prospect!

i think i'm going to take that advice on board and after consideration of other peoples views ignore it.

but i would agree you shouldn't leave your tablet out side.

I very much disagree. It sounds like you were mistreating it, and as for poor virus protection, you have to put your own on, not that unusual is it.

In my opinion the N7 is a well built fast and reliable bit of kit.

Actually re reading your post I think you are making it up. Who on earth returns their tablet or any kind of computer just because it has crashed once or twice or even thrice, you're 'aving a larf.

haha, I respect your opinion but it appears we are on very different wave lengths, i treated the n7 properly its just that to me they are unreliable...My virus protection was one of the highest possible... I returened my nexus because it crahed a had been fozen for a week, this made sense to hand in becuas it wasnt even allowing me to turn on...Maybe the kit was unreliable to me because I used it regularly for buisness as such...

haha, it was a warmish day and i was showing my sister pictures from our holiday when we quickly left it outside to top up our drinks*rather stupidly* to come back to see the nexus screen cracked the entire way across the screen, we were only gone for a minute and the tempature was of 21 degrees!

You had better send whatever you are using at the moment back, the spell checker's not working, haha

That would not happen, something else broke the screen.

no, the pressure of the particles from the hot air compared to the cold mor regimented partcles of the screen creates exothermic heat which eventually shatters the glass....if glass didnt shatter under heat why cant people but glasses or wine glasses in microwaves or ovens...!

This sounds very suspicious. Why is the screen cracking "under heat and warmth"...what were you doing? Blasting it with a flamethrower?

I think the Nexus 7 is great, no problems with mine and certainly better and more productive than the Kindle Fire.

Is this for real?

Exothermic heat http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exothermic

Glasses in microwaves http://www.ehow.com/facts_5549318_ca...icrowaved.html

And a temperature of 21C (69.8F) is the same as (probably lower) than that of the average living room

Are you sure it was a Nexus 7 that melted in the heat and not an ice cream or something? It's an easy mistake to make.

I've never bothered with anti-virus on an Android phone or tablet since starting to use the OS in 2009 for both business and home use and have never had any problems whatsoever. Where you using dodgy software?

When you say you used it for business, do you mean school/college or are you a young entrepreneur at 16? (according to your profile...)
