My highly scientific mind tells me that the OP is winding us up.

haha, it was a warmish day and i was showing my sister pictures from our holiday when we quickly left it outside to top up our drinks*rather stupidly* to come back to see the nexus screen cracked the entire way across the screen, we were only gone for a minute and the tempature was of 21 degrees!
How many drinks ?

no, the pressure of the particles from the hot air compared to the cold mor regimented partcles of the screen creates exothermic heat which eventually shatters the glass....if glass didnt shatter under heat why cant people but glasses or wine glasses in microwaves or ovens...!

Pure crap. Obviously a tablet (or most devices for that matter) should not be left outside.

'Crashed' and stopped working? Please explain? Though, I doubt you can.

I often have this problem when I play table tennis with my Nexus. The secret is to use the dotted side with a chinese grip. Hope that helps.

I tried using it as a frisbee the other day. Very impressive aerodynamics - however the damn dog cracked the screen when he fetched it

I'm no particular fan of the n7, but the notion that the screen will crack after a few minutes in mildly warm sunshine is ludicrous. Some types of display can be temporarily damaged by heat and some can never recover, but to crack? Come on now! Someone dropped it or sat on it while you were away and is covering up.

21c is hardly hot and they work without cracking in countries that are regularly warmer than that and with much brighter sunlight.
