Am I the only one who can just eat it on its own with a spoon? lol I know it sounds like the perfect cause of diabetes but seriously YUM.

No, I don't eat it out of a tin, but I do use it in the most scrumptious flapjacks ever!

Lovely in a sandwich!
Leave an unopened can in the freezer for a few days and you can almost slice the contents when opened. No need for butter. |

The thick canned sweetened milk which you could eat with a spoon used to called Fussell's, whereas Carnation was fairly thin.
I assume things have changed ? |

I've never had one, but in Spain they have cafe con leche condensada. I don't normally like sweet coffee but for some reason condensed milk and espresso sounds wonderful to me.

Sure i've seen that done - or is that to make toffee/caramel? |

Can you not get the same results by boiling a tin of condenced milk?
Sure i've seen that done - or is that to make toffee/caramel? Cafe con leche condenada is literally just coffee with condensed milk- straight from the can. Apparently they also call the drink a 'cafe bombon'. |

I remember being a little girl and going to my friends house. Her dad used to eat a big doorstep of bread spread with fussells condensed milk and then covered in a layer of sugar.

Luckily the homemade sweet stall at the local market sells it and it's available from sellers on Amazon. |

Ah, yes. I'm sure I've seen recipes for banoffee pie that call for boiling a tin of condensed milk.
