Cheap tablets have their place. My sister bought one to take on holiday to use Facebook, Twitter and Google Maps, read a few Kindle books, watch a few videos and listen to music. She didn't want an expensive one in case she lost or broke it while abroad. It works well for the price (£38), the screen is a little unresponsive at times and the graphics aren't top notch but for the money it was great value and served its purpose well.

This post gets my vote for the most crass post of 2013

I am posting from an android 7 inch smart pad. Was present. No idea how to do stuff on it. Have been trying to d/l iTunes onto it, no success. Very minimal instructions. My username is ironic, I am hopeless with technology. I just want to browse, play music etc, nothing fancy. It was £39, so not expecting nor wanting much.
Battery says it should last 10 hrs, it in constant use, seems 3 is the max, which doesn't seem great.

Battery life will improve after a few charge/discharge cycles, although possibly not from 3 to 10 hours.

ITunes is an Apple product and not available on Android tablets. The Android equivalent is Google Play Music, or indeed Amazon MP3, both of which are very good.

Try googling for an android help site, there will be someone around who knows your tablet.

Also, google: "You Tube Downloader", which should help with getting free music. It will allow for separating the music from the video.

Battery life, and wi-fi linkage are two common problems on budget tablets.

For 39 pounds, you are going to get what you've paid for, i.e. not a lot.
