Pleas help, I have a ipad3 and for ages I've been getting a message about backing up my iCloud and backing up my storage but its says it can't because not enough storage is available and just now I've got a message that its almost full!

I'm panicked that all my photos and videos will be gone, I don't care about apps, the only thing on my iCloud is the ipad nothing else, I don't know how get enough storage, to get more storage ill have to pay £14.

Is there a better way to get more space and back up?

I'm really worried

Go into the icloud settings within the options and have a look at what is taking up you storage space. There are apps that you install that cab take up space which you may not need backed up.

You can choose what you back up. That may clear a bit of space.

You could also install Dropbox onto your iPad too.

I noticed I was down to my last 500mb on iCloud on the weekend. I bought the extra 10gb of storage. £14 a year isn't actually that much for the extra functionality that iCloud gives you.

All the free cloud storage providers have limits on how much you can get for free (I think Dropbox is 5GB too) and unless you spend ages splitting your photos etc between different cloud storage providers (which will be a pain) I would suggest just paying the £14.

Your videos and photos won't get deleted unless you have a problem with your ipad and have to restore the ipad. If you don't want to lose your videos and photos then you could back them up somewhere else such as Google drive and choose not to back up videos and photos to icloud then you won't need to pay for extra cloud storage.
