my fiance's mom bought him a cat stocking and we've out it up next to ours. the whole families stockings together,its cute. we bought him one of those little hats but his head is too big not the hat being too small of course. i was so excited at the thought of him in a cute Xmas hat i was heartbroken. im not sure what else to get him , i was going to get him a cat tunnel but Ive changed my mind. we are just going to buy him a small cat treat instead. those sticks that they can chew and eat. im sure he will like those.

Mine will get loads of treats and a couple of soft toys but no doubt the younger pup will shred her to pieces in seconds

Not sure what my sister will get them. No doubt more treats

They will both have a christmas dinner as well

Well, my poor cat 'Kipper' passed away Friday. 18 years old, had him since a kitten.
Yesterday, I decided to get another cat.
Pets protection told me about a 10 year old female they had been trying to home for a month. The RSPCA got her from some builders who found her, injured, by the side of the road. They were going to put her down, but the vet refused as he said she still had some years quality left and treated her wound successfully.
Then the pets protection took her in. Also has, kidney problems and a cloudy eye, slight arthritis, maybe 2 or 3 years left they said.
But, no-one wanted her, probably be put down soon, so I said I'd take her permanently.
Because of her health problems, they suggested she would be better off as an indoor cat. As I'm here most of the time (retired) it's no problem for me.

So my Xmas present for her? (I'm picking her up tomorrow) is a safe warm environment, free run of the house, be well cared for and loved, for whatever time she has left.

And probably a "renal safe" treat for her on the day itself.

I've got Molly a subscription to the Black Dog Bakery's homemade liver treats, some chuck it balls and a couple of antler bars as she loves them very much.

Hotelier, I am so sorry for your loss and so pleased about your arrival, a loving home is the ultimate present.

I used to get my old cat Sasha a special dinner to have xmas day, he passed away Nov last year. Charlie the mad puppy had a special dinner last year and a new toy. This year I got him a box of special food and one of his doggie friends got him a gift aswell. If I remember next time I go shopping I will get him a dog stocking thing with treats in, he also has his own advent calendar

I'm leaving in about 40 mins to pick her up. Got her "room" all ready with bed etc.
Food trays and bed in her room. (if she chooses to use the room of course!, she will have free run of the house) , Cat litter in the kitchen alcove.

Cats Protection advised me to restrict Brooke to just one room at first and only gradually open up the rest of the house. As it goes she hid for three days (popping out for food & litter tray when I was out). So I'd make sure she has somewhere to hide if she feels the need.
Having said that our old family cat was a rescue too and he wasn't fazed at all by the new house.

Well Betty was spayed last week so bit of an austere Christmas here, but they will both be getting old socks made into various creatures, so far have a teddy bear and a 3 legged dog need to make another leg I think.
Also tennis balls so we can get rid of the halves and the bald ones and start again with nice yellow ones we can see in the long grass.

I just got back, kitchen and living room access only so far...so she knows where her cat litter is(alcove behind kitchen). shes not hiding though, shes exploring and occasionally coming over for strokes .
Shes so affectionate..a little sweety...I knew we'd get on the moment I saw her.

Shes having a rest on my other sofa now...I think shes claimed it as hers..

My kitties are getting a lot of canned food as this is a treat for them. They will also get a new pet bed and some new toys even though they do not need any toys since they have so many.

I love the thought of making old socks into toys. I want to do it now. Has the dog got 4 legs yet ?

First christmas with our 3 legged rescue cat.

He has two boxes of gourmet tins under the tree and two door hanging mice. He absolutely loves them so will hopefully go bonkers with two at once LOL.

The dog is getting a few toys and treats and a new polka dotty collar. My female rabbit is ill just now, so she's getting some posh hay, my new rescue rabbit is getting castrated on Christmas eve, so he'll be getting some nibbles to say sorry! The gerbils will be getting some new chews for their teeth

Baxter the boxer dog has been a very lucky boy today. Everyone who bought me a present also included a gift for him.

He's had
2 soft toys
a ball on a rope
a bone
turkey treats
doggie kebab
filled hoof
home baked cheese balls
a nice new winter coat which he's not impressed with at all.

so far he's scoffed the cheese balls and shredded all the wrapping paper and is now passed out on his bed snoring.

The present I bought my cat was a fail.
He's scared of it.
Going to try and persuade him to get into it.

So sorry to hear about Kipper But you are a true star taking in an aged cat. I am sure she will be spoilt rotten
