The Iconia A1
I have an iPad and fancied the mini but not the price. I noticed The Iconia A1 had a 7.9" IPS screen with a 4:3 ratio, and a quad-core processor for £159 in Asda and treated myself to one. I'm not a fan of the little speaker but I already had a pair of Genius mini-speakers which I use instead. The headphone socket seems temperamental, or it could be a worn cable.. But I like the sound it produces. My favourite is the screen. I'm not sure if it is a bonus or a hindrance having an IPS panel, but for me it is. I really like the colours on the trailers on the IMDB website. The screen is sometimes too responsive or unresponsive.. I think the unresponsiveness is more likely to occur when the battery is running out. I like the vibration when typing. I like the Bluetooth feature as I can play internet music wirelessly on my LG Soundbar which also has Bluetooth. I've read a few reviews but they tend to be in the 'average' bracket. Personally I think it is better than that. Does anyone else have one?

Acer Iconia
I, too, bought the A1-810 model a few months ago. I love it. More so than the ipad because you can download apps that Apple won't allow. For instance, Abode Flash, Firefox etc etc, and there are no problems with the football streams!

I haven't tried that many apps because I keep watching TV on it.
I should have more time over Christmas and New Year, but if they have to many ads, I won't be keep them for long. |
