If this is true then it's the best news I've had in ages

You know prior to his voice breaking he could sing really well but then his balls dropped and it all went wrong. He sounds so painful on every song he has done since. All the long notes just don't work and he is autotuned to hell.

We all know he won't retire... He might take a break but that's it. This guy makes too much money for himself and his record label to retire.
Hopefully hell take a break, come back in a few years and then by that time people would've stopped caring.

Now we all have to hope that those auto tuned idiots 1D take a permanent break. The look on those little teenage girls faces, would be priceless. That would teach them to have more hormones than brains.

Retiring from making music? I wasn't aware what he was making is "music".

It's good news but I'm not thrilled. His attitude annoys me more than his music, and whether he continues to sing or not, something tells me that this arrogant sod is still gonna be in the news regardless.

That would be great. 1D's mere existence annoys me and their 'music' (I use the term loosely when describing them) is crap.

Bieber hasn't really been able to sing since his voice broke, he sounds like he's in quite a lot of pain so hopefully this will cause him to retire.

Bieber has always been about his looks and young teenagers swooning over him. His music has always been a largely irrelevant aspect of his success, in fact I doubt if even many of his fans are that into it. At least 1D make pop records that tend to be quite popular and at least make radio playlists.

I have to agree with this. He can sing, it's just hard to understand a word he is saying.

Whether it's true or not, I'm sure it will boost sales of his album which is so conveniently being released next week.

Bieber is only trolling and if 1D retired the girls would look for a new boyband, The Wanted or something new could take the crown, like going from Take That to Boyzone to Westlife

Why would he retire because of a voice break? He originally sounded much worse.

I agree here - he could sing before his voice broke, but recently his songs have been getting worse and worse. I have noticed also he uses more autotune than before. But will he take a break, and come back, or will be permanently away from music?
I know which option I'd prefer.... (sorry JB fans)

I doubt it's true to be honest. He hasn't tweeted or made an 'official' annoucement.

More like he is just taking a year break. He needs it. Get away from the spotlight a bit and the negative press and a stay with his family.

Unfortunately I don't think it's true. He's just an attention seeker.
