Most people have attempted or are still carrying on with Digital Soaps and I really wanted to try it out after two failed Hollyoaks Fantasies so I want to do something different. As the title proves, mine is set on a terrace with a row of 7 houses, then on the other side is a park, a pizza place, a discount store, a pub and a block of flats. Additionally, around the outside of the terrace is a pharmacy, a nightclub and a leisure centre. This is what I've got so far an I hope people give me good characters with back stories which are worked on the characters I've already created or completely seperate ones!

House 1 (No.24) - Character/s needed

House 2 (No.26) - Character/s needed

House 3 (No.28) - The Reynolds Family

Simon Reynolds - Age 40 (David Tennant) Confident and witty and everyone in the community is a fan of him, except the local bad boy Gregory as they hate each other ever since Gregory made a move on Carissa.

Carissa Reynolds - Age 41 (Belinda Stewart-Wilson) owns Leisure Life, very proud of her daugher and protective over her family, strong friendship with Lucinda.

Carly Reynolds - Age 16 (Eden Taylor-Draper) A daddy's girl, but not the typical spoilt teenager.

House 4 (No.30) - Character/s needed

House 5 (No.32) - Character/s needed

House 6 (No.34) - Gregory Clarkson - Age 30 (Oliver Coleman) The local bad boy, seems to be very lonely but owns half of WicKed Status and does everything he can to make Simons life a misery.

The Royal Hart (The Pub) - The Puckett Family

Moira Puckett - 68 (Sheila Reid) Very outspoken, causing clashes with her and her son Noel even though he's her whole world after losing her partner and his dad a few years ago.

Noel Puckett - 48 (Jessie Birdsall) Landlord of the pub, gets along with the locals but also owns half of WicKed Status. He tries to stay away from Gregory and his dodgy actions, but won't stand for drug dealing or robbery which seems to be frequent with Gregory. Still misses his dad and his advice.

Lucinda Puckett - 44 (Natalie J Robb) A typical mother who's very house proud and is a loyal landlady.

Matt Puckett - 27 (Matt Barber) Very shy and seems to have body issues as his friends keep on telling him to bulk up, has strong relationship with his sisters.

Elisha Puckett - 22 (Tamaryn Payne) A bubbly girl who has a 'friends with benefits' relationship with Robbie who doesn't treat her well, causing fights with him and Noel who despises seeing his daughter hurt. A lifeguard who is extremely passionate about her job.

Louisa Puckett - 24 (Catherine Steadman) One of the youngest, yet the most intelligent one of the family who always helps them get out of bad situations.

Block of Flats

1A - Hanna - 28 (Anna Passey) Very intruiging as she lives alone, has a close bond with Carly as she sees herself in her at that age. Struggles to fit in with the people the same age group as her.

1D - Uni Group

River Bradshaw - 22 (Fiona O'Carroll) Very 'OCD' and likes everything to be tidy despite the fact the others make the flat a complete mess, doesn't enjoy partying.

Stacey Green - 22 (Karen Hassan) Flirtatious and Feisty. Constantly tries to get Jason's attention with bad consequences.

Robbie Davies - 22 (Nicolas Woodman) Sporty and a 'proper lad' who doesn't have much respect for girls he meets in nightclubs and sleeps with.

Jason Haliday - 22 (Daniel Anthony) Struggles with his secret as he is bi-sexual. Stacey fancies him, but he's never interested as he is developing a crush on his bestfriend Robbie.

House 1, 2, 4 and 5 are all free at the moment which is why id appreciate characters being created. As there's already quite a few characters, House 5 will be left free so I need owners for the other three. They can be families or it would be easier if there weren't a lot of members or not a family at all. I know it's late now so I don't expect any contributions until tomorrow, Thankyou and I hope anyone who reads it will enjoy it

In the opening of the first episode, the song 'Happy' by Pharrell Williams is played as an anything but happy Carly enters 'Pizza Express', clearly tired and worn down as Harrison shouts her name. It then shows Gemma being woken up from her screaming son Louis, but she rolls back over and hides herself with the covers and it finally shows Gregory storming towards the club, cutting the music of.

Gregory is in a bad mood and takes it out on the alcohol suppliers when they are late with the delivery, but Noel manages to calm him down and demands he gets inside so he can sort out the stock.

At the Royal Hart, Gemma stumbles in shoving her pram through the cramped door with a messy bun and huge gaping bags under her eyes. Noel rolls his eyes and walks up the stairs, with Lucinda not suprised as she's used to the state she's usually in. Gemma once again dumps her son on her, not even asking if she's already busy and walks back out again. Louisa, who is revising on a pub table, claims she needs to put her foot down with Gemma as she's taken advantage of how unsocial her mother is, causing Lucinda to jokingly throw a towel at her and Louis begins crying heavily which interrupts the laughter.

Noel walks back in and asks Gregory what the hell is wrong with him, but he refuses to tell him the real reason, giving an excuse that he didn't have a very good Christmas on his own. Noel shoves him against the wall and continues to push him for an answer as it's affecting the business, failing to believe his lie and Gregory pushes him away, revealing he almost got caught dealing weed yesterday, and a whole load of fury fills Noels eyes but before he can do anything Moira interrupts him as a barrel needs to be replaced back at the pub and as he sighs and exits, he warns him this is far from over, slamming the office door on Gregory.

Elsewhere, the university students are excited as the New Year is approaching, so decide to go and party away the night at WicKed Status. Emma and Elisha trails along with them after Elisha was secretly invited by Stacey, and as she flicks her hair and leaves her house, Robbie puts down his head and walks ahead with Jason. When they arrive, Elisha throws herself at a guy to make Robbie jealous, but when she realises that just isn't her and goes to apologise to Robbie, he drunkely embarrassing Elisha as he declares their 'friends with benefits' status to the whole club, causing Gregory to throw him out and his disappointed friends follow, but Elisha rushes back home in an emotional state with Emma supporting her.

Back in 'Pizza Express', Carly is slowly clearing up the floor when her parents Carissa and Simon enter telling Carly she'll be home alone for a bit as the pair are going into town for a few drinks. As they leave, Carly and Hanna see Gregory walk past and violently barge Simon out the way. Carly is annoyed and asks to herself what that sick mans problem is, but Hanna just shrugs her shoulders and tells Harrison she's knocking of early, before rapidly exiting with an almost silent goodbye to Carly.

Back at the flat, River is on a determined cleaning spree, but gets stressed as she cuts her finger on broken glass after smashing it accidently and frantically collects the tiny pieces of glass on the floor, getting frustrated as there's so many. But as the others come back, Robbie is sick on the carpet much to Rivers fury, who has a rant at her friends believing they never support her and she's fed up of acting like the mother role and Stacey is worried after walking in and seeing the state she was in while clearing up.

The episode ends with Gemma seeing a call from Moira on her phone and is about to answer it but she slides it on the floor as there is a sudden knock on the door. As she opens it, a stranger tells her he's ready to have some fun and the camera has a ground shot focusing on the vibrating phone under a table as in the background the door is shut and Gemma leads the man up the stairs flirtatiously.

Fantastic first episode.

Hopefully we'll see a bit more of Harrison in future episode, I'm very intrigued at Gemma's developing story line, I assume she has a certain grudge against her baby and works as a prostitute? Great stuff.

Hate Gregory already. Noel's pretty okay, seems like he's going to be a nice guy. I'm intrigued by River and the university students seem like they're going to be a lot of fun.

Elastic Heart by 'Sia' is played softly as Gemma is shown once again not in the best of states, flicking in desperation through the few measly tenners the stranger left for the sex, while it cuts to Elisha and Emma walking home as Elisha tells Emma she'll be fine but as she heads into the pub she rushes up to her bedroom and grips onto her covers as a singular tear drops down her cheek. There's a sudden slamming at the door and Gemma rushes downstairs after remembering about her son and Lucinda asks her what she's doing as she's been trying to call her for hours and it's dark. Gemma apologises several times, and once again Lucinda takes pity on her and hugs her.

The episode continues the next morning, as a chilli Noel informs his mother Moira the heatings playing up, who snidely tells him 'get of ya fat arse and try and fix it then, no use telling an old frail like me is there' before laying on the sofa, rolling her eyes and beginning reading a gossip magazine and pronouncing a celebrities name wrong, much to Matt and Louisa's humour. As Lucinda enters the living room, Noel says he's suprised Gemma didn't make her keep baby Louis all night, but Lucinda sticks up for her, exclaiming its hard for a young single mother like her. Noel shouts Elisha's name several times, but soon gives up and goes to give her her breakfast in her room, but he sees she still visibly crying and upset and asks her why she's in this bad way, sitting on the bed and hugging her tightly. Elisha puts on a brave face and says it doesn't matter anymore.

Back at the Reynolds household, Carly wakes up to a still empty house causing her to have slight concern. She sees a few letters on the doormat but sees one without an envelope and she opens and reads it to see a horrific letter towards them in scrawny handwriting promising to tear the family apart. As Carissa and Simon rush back in about to apologise to Carly for staying out all night, they see her holding the note in despair.

At Number 30, Emma is preparing early alone for the celebrations with the Uni students, when all of a sudden she hears Gemma scream 'shut the hell up' twice before also hearing a loud thump as she lives next door. She switches of her straighteners and tries to listen further, but there's no more noise. She rushes out the house and bumps into Lucinda. Emma explains the noise she heard, also fearing that Gemma has been hurting or neglecting Louis and that she should possibly call social services. There's a pause, before Lucinda gives a small fake laugh and says she doesn't need to worry as she's just come out of the house and it was her she shouted that her as Lucinda was winding Gemma up about her seeing a new guy and that she's perfectly capable of caring for her son and would never hurt him and so Emma happily believes it. Lucinda then walks into Gemma's but is relieved to see her holding Louis and patting his back. Before she has chance to bring up what Emma heard, she puts her son back in his pram and asks Lucinda to watch him for a few hours while she goes into town. Lucinda reluctantly agrees, as long as she's back before 9 as she needs some family time.

After reading the note over and over, Simon tells Carissa he knows this is Gregory's doing and he won't let him get away with it, storming out the house. He begins banging on Number 34 but Gregory comes up to him from behind asking why he's so desperate to see him before winking to wind him up further. Simon shoves the note in his face, and prepares to fight him as Estelle and Nick see the commotion. Carissa drags her husband away and as they walk back home Carissa explains even though they know it was Gregory they have no evidence whatsoever to show the police.

Harrison is behind the counter looking at a photo of him, his wife and daughter in a special frame as a tear drops on it, but as Carly enters the restaraunt, he hides the photo in the counter. Carly asks where Hanna is and Harrison tells her she's called in sick. He then kindly tells her to take the night of as Hanna could probably do with some company on New Years Eve and to take the spare key Hanna leaves there. Carly tells him he's the best boss ever and heads out to the flats.

The Uni Students are all buzzing and excitable for the party that night, except from River who won't come out of her room. Stacey demands she comes out with them, but River replies with the fact she's got so much coursework to complete. River finally allows her in and Stacey reminds her best friend they've known each other since nursery and they should trust each other with their lives. River promises she does, she just isn't a party girl but as this is clearly upsetting Stacey she agrees to come out just this once, but then remembers about her shift at The Royal Hart and let's everyone down again.

Carly opens up Hanna's flat and gently opens the door. She says her name in a normal tone, but Hanna makes her jump as she exits her bedroom in a dressing gown. She asks her why she's here and how she's got in so Carly says she thought she could do with some company because she's ill. Hanna coldly tells her to go and make friends her own age so Carly tells her to stuff herself and she leaves, slamming the door...

Natalie Gavin: 'Gemma doesn't realise what she's doing properly'

Natalie Gavin, who plays Gemma Crosby on the brand new 'Digital Terrace', has spoken to 'DigBiz' about her characters current prostitution and child abandoning storyline and how it will progress. She has said, 'I'm so pleased that I've been thrown into this as soon as the whole show started, it's basically two seperate stories but they are constantly intertwining with each other as it goes on.'

'The way I look at it, Gemma doesn't realise what she's doing properly, she just believes she's exploiting herself for her sons welfare but the things like not feeding him when he needs it and ignoring his crying at times just doesn't pop in her mind at all. I don't believe she's a bad person she's just constantly making the wrong choices, however in the next episode you will briefly see her do the right thing for once in terms of the prostitution.'

She was also asked about how she thinks she shows doing after the first few episodes and who she's enjoying working with the most. 'The shows great, I'm filming a lot so I've had the first two on record, but I've managed to watch the first one and I loved it, the atmosphere and the community feel. Hmmm, who I enjoy working with most, that's a tough one. It goes without saying Natalie J Robb as most of my characters scenes are with her, she's already like a mum to me on-screen as well as off, but because there's only around 20 of us it's easier to interact and were all getting along well, I'm planning to stay with the show for a while if they'll have me!'

Digital Terrace continues every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.

The New Year celebrations are very much continuing as midnight dawns and 'Radioactive' by Imagine Dragons plays loudly showing people walking into WicKed Status and Lucinda sat alone rolling Louis pram back and forth. A dressed up Stacey and Emma walk with River to the pub, and they see Elisha sat on her own. Stacey and Emma go and sit with her, saying she should come to WicKed Status with them, but Elisha blatantly refuses as Robbie will probably just embarrass her again like last time and she doesn't want the whole street to know her private business. Not wanting to leave her alone, Stacey texts Jason and says she and Emma are staying with Elisha.

It's 9:05 and Gemma sneaks through her door, thanking Lucinda for looking after Louis. Gemma practically chucks Lucinda out claiming she'll be fine on her own. As she leaves, she sees a man standing outside Gemma's house but he then walks away in a different direction. When Lucinda enters The Royal Hart, the man quickly walks back and Gemma allows him in, shutting the door afterwards. They begin kissing in the corridor but Louis begins crying. Gemma prepares to tend to her son but the man says he'll be fine and they head upstairs, but Gemma backs out and asks him to leave. When he ignores her and continues touching her thighs, she shouts it louder and stands up for herself. He calls her a slut viciously and thumps down the stairs, grabbing his coat and slamming the door behind him. Louis is still crying, but an upset Gemma ignores him and goes back upstairs.

At WicKed status Jason and Robbie find themselves talking alone amongst the piercing sound of the music. Jason suggests to him to go over to a girl who keeps staring at him, but Robbie just puts his head on the bar and talks about Elisha again and admits how much he actually loves her. This makes Jason feel uncomfortable because of his secret feelings for his bestfriend and leaves Robbie on his own.

The cold weather is clearly effecting Moira, and Noel tells Lucinda in private he's scared for her health as it's only going to get worst over the next few months. Noel manages to sort out the heating and Moira is still her sarcastic and perky self. Stacey, Emma and Elisha's night together with River ends in them confessing who they fancy in the village. As they get more drunk, Stacey jokes she wouldn't mind a piece of Simon Reynolds but the laughter soon turns to tears as Elisha admits she has feelings for Robbie despite him constantly messing up. Matt overhears them and tells his sister if she gives him another chance he will break her heart and their dad won't be happy.

It's the morning after and Robbie, Jason, Stacey, Emma and Elisha have seriously bad hangovers. River teases them over it continuously as Stacey says, 'I love how you've finally find a sense of humour when were practically dead' and a knocking at the door annoys them all. As River opens it, Carissa Reynolds swings through telling Robbie he's not skiving of his first day back at Leisure Life and if she has to drag him there she will, hangover or not so Robbie forces himself into his room to get changed. As Carissa is so bothered about her employees, she didn't realise her daughter Carly's bad mood but Simon notices it as soon as she sits at the kitchen table and doesn't ask for a cup of tea. She admits she visited Hanna but she was unnecessarily nasty to her so she fell out with her. Simon reminds her that him and Carissa have their issues with Gregory ever since he tried to get with her and made a move on her but she shouldn't stay fallen out with Hanna over nothing. When Carly suggests trying to make the peace with Gregory, Simon tells her there's no chance of that and walks out to avoid any more questions.

In the Armstrong household, Nick brings Estelle a cup of coffee but spills a tiny bit on her, causing him to quickly try and clean it up but Estelle reassures him it's fine and she could have easily made it herself, but Nick tells her he doesn't want her to. He then jokes that they had a good night last night together and she agrees for some peace. He then reminds her his little sister Georgina's coming back soon from her holiday with old friends, and Estelle sighs saying 'that's all i need, anyway I'm not sitting here moping around all day I have a business to attend to' and stands up. Nick sits her back down gently and annoys her as he announces he'll be managing the pharmacy while she's pregnant. Estelle reminds him he can't juggle two jobs at once, but he says he's taken time of his Barman job as the pharmacy is their priority and he tells her not to move all day and leaves.

At Leisure Life, Robbie is sorting out a membership for someone when he sees Elisha. He quickly chases after her and stops her in her tracks. Elisha asks him to move out the way politely as there's nothing to say, but he grabs her hands and holds them and just as he is about to admit his feelings for her, she moves away her hands and lies, saying she's seeing someone else and walks away, secretly breaking his heart and by her facial expression she's clearly regretting it.

'Tea and Toast' by Lucy Spraggan is played in the opening of the episode, as Gemma is shown taking out baby milk and slamming the microwave door, trying to feed Louis it and then cuts to Nick bringing Estelle breakfast who's sat on the sofa and bending over to kiss her forehead and it then stops as it shows Gregory unlocking the club.

As he enters the office, Noel Puckett quickly follows and makes Gregory jump slightly. Noel tells him he hasn't had a chance to speak to him much these past few days but Gregory ignores him. Noel then shouts it louder in his ear, so Gregory slams a file draw shut and asks what his problem is. Noel warns him not to use that tone with him, so Gregory reminds him he isn't his father. Noel then questions him on whether he's given the drug dealing up yet and Gregory nods his head in agreement, also saying 'of course boss' sarcastically. Noel warns him that he better not be lying otherwise there will be consequences as he doesn't want the police suddenly bursting in because a pathetic bit of cocaine. Gregory says its weed not cocaine under his breath and leaves abruptly.

A taxi is then shown parking up at the wrong end of the street and a high heel is shown being put on the ground to show Georgina Armstrong, Nicks little sister. She then slips because of her high heel which Hanna sees on her way to work and tries to hold in the laughter. Georgina gets back up quickly as if nothing's happened and walks down the street to the Armstrong house. On the other side of the street, Stacey and Robbie are walking in the opposite direction, but as they see her in a short skirt, Stacey tells Robbie, 'oh put your tongue back in, it's only Georgina and she's had a go on everyone, probably even Noel' and storms ahead. She unlocks the door and walks in quietly. She then stands at the living room door and Estelle sees her declaring 'oh not you' and Georgina smugly replies, 'what a nice welcoming, thought you had better things to do then watch Daybreak, are you forgetting you have a business to run?'. Estelle tells her at least she isn't unemployed while pulling a sarcastic smile so Georgina wafts her hair and goes to find Nick, hugging him and saying its great to be back.

Gemma manages to get Louis of to sleep and then leaves him in the kitchen. Gregory sees Carly going to work and Simon going down to the shops and smiles at himself, realising Carissa is at home on her own. Carly enters Pizza Express and Hanna smiles at her and asks if they could have a word. Harrison urges her to so they sit down together. Hanna apologises for her behaviour and says she's been having problems with her family and she didn't have anyone to take her anger out on, so she wrongly did it to her. Carly promises she isn't one to hold a grudge, so they hug and make up, much to Harrison's relief. Meanwhile, making sure no-ones watching him, Gregory sneaks into the Reynolds home and shuts the door quietly, but Carissa who's in the kitchen has heard it and shouts 'Is that you Simon' so Gregory hides in the living room. As Carissa comes out of the kitchen to see who it is, Gregory grabs her and tries to kiss her neck. She pushes him away but he pushes her back onto the floor, trashing the living room and running out the back door, leaving Carissa terrified and curled up on the ground.

In Flat 1D, Jason can tell Robbie isn't his usual self and hasn't said much all day. He asks his friend what's a matter, and Robbie makes him promise not to tell the girls. He does so and Robbie reveals he was about to confess his feelings to Elisha yesterday but she interrupted and said she was seeing someone else. Jason puts his hand on his shoulder as a form of feeling sorry but is secretly relieved. Stacey, however, has overheard the conversation and asks Robbie if he's serious loudly, capturing Rivers attention who trying to study on her laptop. Robbie sighs as she wasn't supposed to hear it, but Stacey asks him if he's sure because Elisha hasn't said anything to her and she's one of her best friends. As she then announces her and Robbie are supposed to be together, Jason butts in and admits maybe they aren't because of all the problems it causes and goes to his room, but River has picked up a strange vibe from him...

Simon returns home from the shops and puts the bags down as they are hurting his arms. He then goes into the living room and sees Carissa in an horrific state and quick as a flash goes and sits next to her, comforting her as she lays her head on him and begins crying heavily. She manages to get out the words it was Gregory and he decides enough is enough and he dials 999 for the police.
