Legally download films for an Android tablet
We have two tablets in our house for the kids. A Saumsung Galaxy tab 2 and a Hudl.
Where can I legally download films for the kids watch offline such as when we are in the car on a long journey? I know about the Play Store but they are quite expensive. Blinkbox is even more so. Any ideas? Thanks |

Yes if you have a DVD and PC just rip it to a file and copy it on to the tablet using usb. A program like this rips it to a playable file very quickly...
http://makemkv.com/ Then if you want you can use something like Handbrake to make the file size smaller as Makemkv leaves the file size the same size as what's on the dvd, which is quite a large file! http://handbrake.fr/ Using Makemkv is very easy, basically it's put the DVD in your PC's DVD drive and press go. Handbrake takes a bit more. There's lots of guides out there on how to use handbrake. But it's not that difficult. |

Any ideas? Some DVDs come with a legal copy to download. Otherwise most people just rip DVDs (hopefully ones they already own!) into a tablet suitable format. |

Any ideas? Thanks Flixster also let you download locally I think if you have the Ultraviolet copy of a dvd/blu ray, as BKM mentions. Also I think you can download rentals from Play Store... |

Not movies, but other TV shows that might entertain the kids;-
On the Hudl, the 4od and BBC iPlayer apps allow downloads. |
