Password Visible-urgent

I was about to log-in to my Coral Betting account but stopped when the characters of my password were visible instead of *******

Has my PC been hacked or has key-logging malware been installed?

Urgent advise please.

A good tip is to type in the wrong password and see what happens. If the password is accepted you know for sure you've got a problem - the reverse is less definite.

It could just be a mistake on the website html, do you have the URL.

P.S. This should really be in the PC & Mac forum one up from this one.

Also some sites do allow your password to be visible depending on what options are selected. Very unlikely it's been hacked as all they would need to know are your key presses rather than an actual visual.

Which browser are you using?

Key logging software does not require the text box to show plain text and it would make no sense to alert the user in this way.

Likewise with the nonspecific claim of 'hacked'.

Its likley either a site or browser error. You can try another browser. Unless someone is standing over you watching you are no more at risk from key logging than if it just came up with ***

The only thing Id advise is to insure that it does not autofill the form on return if autofill is even enabled for that site.
