The best 'Actors' award for Strictly dancers in 2013 must surely go to Natalie and Artem.

Susannah imo!

The "over acting" of Susanna could get her a part in any soap.

If they seemed remote and clinical as usual they stood no chance, so they tried to ham it up a bit. But they were starting 20 metres behind the start line with the public so it was too late.

On her last dance? don't think that was acting to be honest, it was very powerful emotion.
I wouldn't give her that accolade in all fairness..thats not a slur of any kind .

I know she totally blew me away tonight tho. she was stunning

Maybe. I don't really care what it was, I just know they turned in a fabulous and flawless performance

LOL so so cynical

All I know is that it made me laugh and cringe, the use of the word "divine" set me off

Agree 100%.

Actually, it should go to Abbey Clancy as her posing and pouting have fooled the judges and the public into thinking she's a fab dancer and performer for weeks. It's true that she can dance and has improved but not to the extent that she should have been in the final, let alone win the competition, imo! For this reason, I believe that tonight's result was a joke and the scoring and voting in this series were a farce! I won't be watching this programme again!

I totally agree too , I can't remember ever being so moved by a dance and I didn't enjoy it much the first time . It was so raw and emotional for both .which I found the most genuine moment of the whole show.

Natalie's detractors can have a field day all they want but nothing really changes the fact that when it came to the night, Natalie smashed the other three to smithereens.

Enough to help her escape the toxic smog of negativity surrounding her? No. But she had a great night, and nothing can really take that away.

Abbey is a worthy winner though, her Waltz was sublime

If you mean by showing genuine emotion while performing the dance of the series, then I would agree with you.

Pity she waited till the VERY last dance to show that "genuine" emotion!!

Wow, I think people are being very cynical. I didn't see any pretense. I thought everyone was genuinely emotional and imo it's completely understandable. All of the contestants & finalists have been through 3 months of blood, sweat and tears. I imagine this has been immensely emotional for them all especially juggling work & family life with the Strictly machine.
I would be full of emotion but also relieved. Although I'm sure Strictly is great fun, it seems absolutely relentless.

I thought Natalie was really emotional during the dance tonight...maybe not during her VTs

I've heard Susanna is favourite for this year's Leading Female Oscar for her performance of crying on Kevin's shoulder for what seemed like an eternity....stand up woman for God's sake

Am I right in thinking the objection here is Natalie and Artem acting in the American Smooth? Give me strength. Of course they were. Have you listened to the lyrics?

Im not sure if it is ha ha, but there was no acting in that AS, to me it looked like real emotion and it was stunning

I thought the emotion during the AS was genuine, it was all the VTs before hand that laid it on a bit thick!!

Brenda was just as bad about Sophie. Sophie couldn't dance for toffee and that's why Brenda had to pick her up and whirl her about all the time.
