I have no idea why but I only ever eat pate at Christmas...
Morrison's wild boar, chestnut and i can't remember the third ingredient is very nice as is their pork and mushroom
However a nice surprise was Aldi's pork and venison pate, v tasty!

anyone else like pate, recommendations welcome!!

i never eat the stuff all year round, only at christmas!!

Same here, it's one of those foods that's so high in calories I tend to eat it sparingly.

Not sure if it's stocked nationwide, but our Asda has: http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/waitr...elly_113g.html which is delicious - there's also a chicken and heather honey one in the same range which is also gorgeous (and what we're having this year

I'd eat duck rilette until the cows come home.

I've got some foie gras pate, some wild boar pate, duck pate and venison pate at home. Probably won't get stuck in till boxing day though.

My husband makes his own.
I adore the duck with orange pate from Marks and Sparks.

We buy it a few times during the year. I like it on toasted home-made bread if possible.
