With the campaigns that start every year to stop cowell and the karaoke scripted "X Factor" what if digitalspy got forum members together to choose a worthy song and make the xmas number 1 spot.

What song/s would people like to see top the charts?

I would love fairy tale of new york or imagine by john lennon.

Yes, maybe around October next year we could decide on a suitable alternative to Christmas no 1 - like Rage Against the Machine in 2009 - and then download it, and encourage all our friends, everyone on Facebook etc, to download it.

I assume you're not being entirely serious here. I mean, if the behemoth that is Facebook can't 'control' it, I don't see how a minnow like DS could.

More seriously, I think people are already fed up with 'campaigns' to prevent XF getting to number one and are just buying what they like, or letting whatever will be will be.

FONY, btw.

I was gonna say.. the fact that this is even a thing is proof that the charts are stupid and no one should pay attention to them.

Digitalspy has alot of members and if digitalspy its self gets behind it then its a possibility, plus facebook friends etc.

I think people are fed up with campaigns that aint nothing to do with christmas.
