samsung x600 problems
Hi all, just been having a lot of problems lately with my aunts x600, seems a common fault, that when a phonecall is made or received, the phone freezes, hangs there and reboots.
The phone has been returned 3 times, replaced, and the problem still persists, they have also replaced the sim card. IS this problem happening to anyone else, and where would i stand on the money side of things, i apparently bought the phone in april (almost certain it was june though???). Thanks in advance. I have the same problem with mine, I sent it off to be fixed came back worked for 2 weeks then started doing the same problem, the camera doesn't work now either.
Everywhere I read people have had problems with the phone, my solution is to get a new phone |

i have been given a new handset the same that developed the fault within three weeks. i have been to the o2 shop and requested another handset but they refuse. guess what they said.......... we can send it away for repair but thats all we can offer i'm afraid.
i have spoken to consumer rights about this. they tell me i am entitled to a new handset of a different make and model or a refund(maybe not a full refund though) but the o2 shop keeps insiting on the repair!!!!! if you have any luck let me know and i will do the same. thanks David |

unfortunately my warranty has expired now, and I don't buy phones on contract so can't return it
I also think there may be more problems on o2 than other networks with the phone, as elsewhere a firmware upgrade usually solved the problem |

I think, legally, they are do not have to give you a completely different handset or model - they are only bound to replace it for an identical one (as far reasonably practiceable)

they have replaced it once.. thats the problem, and according to consumer direct (trading standards pretty much), say that it is reasonable to request a £100 handset as a replacment, when £150 was paid for the x600
