how long will baked ham last?

I have a ham to honey roast for Christmas. The use by date is 7th January. If I cook it now will it last that long or is the date only if it is unopened?

It will keep for maybe 4 or 5 days once it is cooked. It won't last until 7th January for sure.

It depends on what you mean by lasting. Some hams (especially dry cured) will last for years. I'd just use it in sarnies and omelettes though
