Got a text message from EE about free add-ons for 4G customers and went for the Deezer option.

Seems pretty decent although the sign-up process is a bit complicated especially if you try and register whilst on Wi-Fi!

Once registered it's a breeze and you can download and keep music on your phone whilst you are on Wi-Fi, keeping 4G allowance for other stuff.

I'm not sure how much I will use it but it seems a good extra for free and I can't imagine why I would want to download MP3's or buy music when it's all there for free on the phone!

I feel similarly - Nokia's MixRadio app keeps me pretty happy.

Yes, Deezer is a good service. I had it as a swappable on Orange, but even after I moved away I kept it on at £4.99/month (special offer for 6 months).

On a side note have Orange stopped doing swappables? I can't see any panther tariffs (which included swappables) on their site any more.

I have a feeling any Animal packages as such disappeared when EE launched their new 4G tariffs at the end of October this year.

Some of us actually care about sound quality, and Deezer has no control over that, no equalizer, no DVC. It's just a pain tbh, but useful for the once a week I really want to get a song I don't already have on my phone.

I also got caught out the other day in the pub because Deezer only has two Vengaboys tracks.

Had to go on Spotify to listen to the third.

EE really need to advertise it more as a competitor to Vodafone's spotify offer.

It's a really good inclusive offer.

I had used spotify and TuneIn for live radio but Deezer is different. It's all the music you want streaming or available to download on demand to use on your phone. I selected a Christmas playlist today and the selection was amazing. The quality was good too as I connected my SGS S4 to my Denon micro HiFi input and the output was better than DAB streaming over my home WiFi.

With Deezer I don't think I need to bother with downloads or buying music on CD again. A brilliant free extra from EE and just the kind of thing that would make me think twice about moving from them, which is the whole point I suppose!

Exactly WaveJ. It would make me think twice about leaving EE too. Best streaming music service by far.

I link my 5S via Bluetooth to my bose soundlink and the sound quality is impressive.

All I did was correct an assumption. Why would I release a confidential pricing agreement to you?

I understand why you wouldn't. I am guessing that as deezers currently available for £4.99 a month rather then £9.99 per month. EE would be paying around £1.50 per month. Based on subscribers that actually sign up to the service, I am also guessing that only 20-30 percent actually bother to sign up to Deezer?

Also very much agree with the Jabba man that EE fail to promote the benefits of Deezer.

I think they succeeded in promoting it in my case. I signed up after the text alert although the process was far from easy and may be a challenge too far for many users!
