Trolley rage

Have any of you been out to the supermarket today? Come across any instances of trolley rage?

Did see some nutter taking items from over peoples trolleys.

No worse than usual. I'm used to seeing a bunch of old biddies blocking aisles and doorways without any consideration to others. Or fat women in leggings yelling at a screaming child whilst hitting me out of the way with their basket. Or the checkout assistant insisting on doing my packing because 'men are useless at everything.'

I've had the nutter pinching stuff out of my trolley thing too.

I went to my local Co-Operative and it was empty.

Went to Morrisons, bit busy around the fresh food area. No queues at the checkouts though.

You'd never believe all shops are shut for the next 3 weeks and everyone will starve to death unless they fill 2 trollies to the top with stuff they don't even know what to do with, while buying a turkey that won't even fit in their oven.
Hope Makro will be civilised tonight!

Went to M&S food hall yesterday and it was like feeding time at the Zoo. Absolute utter carnage. Blocked isles, rude shoppers; basically every man for himself. Took 35 minutes to pay.

It was yesterday in Morrisons that there was trolley rage today actually was surprisingly calm apart from the checkouts being busy but that's actually pretty normal for the Morrisons closest to me.

Yesterday had people (in particular the OAPs) literally walking off and leaving the trolley still moving while they went of to look at something or go to another aisle to pick something up, had people blocking full sections so no one could in to get anything especially bad at the bakery section and the counter that has some of the cheeses and meats etc. Also had families and groups standing around at the end of aisles chatting and again blocking them and some just seem to take an age just to study one item and then don't get it anyway. Got lucky with a checkout that just opened as the one I was about to queue at started to have problems so got shouted to the next checkout and so avoided queue rage.

Today wasn't too bad the shop was usual standard of busy although had literally only popped in for a last couple of things they didn't have yesterday so not too bad and hopefully avoiding going anywhere near any major shops tomorrow.

I've just been to ALDI, Boots and ASDA and it was fine. Like a busy shopping day but nothing like as bad as the news was saying it was going to be.

Supposed to be the busiest shopping day of the year.

Walked past Aldi tonight (Christmas Eve) an hour before closing and it was almost empty. They had halved the prices of all bakery and most of the veg (the stuff that would not keep)and they were almost giving some of the stuff away. Bought Aubergines for 25p - packs of Courgettes 30p and 1.5kg bags of Maris Pipers for 34p. Filled 2 large bags and only spent just over £10.
We are veggie so going to cook lots of it tonight and freeze it. Glad I walked past.

just your usual old bastards pushing and shoving past me without so much of an "excuse me" ... this happens all year though, just more so at xmas. These dipshits have the nerve to moan about young uns not having respect too.

it was self service rage at my local tesco local store, with trolleys, i did a polite excuse me as the one till guy was puzzled. 5 year old came in handy as i was not given way, she is normally very shy and said, pardon us so the guy moved and we got to the tills.

The cashier said 'Do i stink of bo today?'

No rage or battle over the last brussel sprouts here. Such a pleasure supermarket shopping in the US

I avoid the supermarkets at this time of year. People tend to leave their sense of direction, spacial awareness an awareness of others, at the door at the best of times. At Christmas it just gets 10 times worse.

Everyone in our local Sainsbury's was polite. Staff were handing out chocolates. It was really busy but honestly it was a pleasure. The management obviously had more staff on the tills. The only problem was getting out of the car park and onto the main road. It took me almost 45 minutes. Even then the drivers were patient. Maybe Christmas is after all the season of good will to man and woman kind.

Oh and someone was head first in the freezer trying to protect the food to stop anyone else getting it and there were other people pulling at their feet and biting them. This was in Lidl. It was also unnecessary as there were only like three or four people in the whole shop

The season of good-will has become overshadowed by trolley rage and parking rage.

Saw a woman in the Aldi car-park revving the hell out of her engine and threatening to ram another car that she thought was heading for the parking space she had been waiting for.

Was like a scene from Robot Wars.
