EastEnders Unveils New Executive Producer

It has been announced today that BBC One's EastEnders has reportedly snapped up a new producer going by the alias of Cal_Scream2 who has been working alongside Dominic Treadwell Collins for the last few weeks.

Officials at the BBC One have revealed that Dominic Treadwell Collins will still be working at the soap as second in command, overseeing Cal's decisions regarding the flagship soap opera which has gripped the nation fiercely for nearly three decades with affairs, love triangles, whodunnits and murders aplenty. We managed to catch up with the new executive producer, who said:

'It's such an exciting time. I have a lot of dark and gritty stuff planned for the soap. I think the show needs injecting with a lot of darkness after the love and warmth saga which was simply terrible. I'm getting rid of all the deadwood and I don't care if this sounds harsh, no one is safe. There is too much focus on characters who have had their hey-day, so stay tuned for announcements and episodes.'

The following episode may cause upset to the viewers so read with caution.

The episode begins with Dexter sitting in the kitchen of the Branning home, looking at his phone. The camera reveals images of Ava smiling in front of her new house, and Dexter chuckles slightly before quickly typing a reply message. Cora suddenly enters the kitchen and asks him what’s so funny, and Dexter reveals that Ava’s set up in Newcastle and he’s going to visit her. Cora smiles meekly, before walking to the refrigerator and pulling out some orange juice. She asks him if he’ll come back to Walford after visiting Ava, and Dexter stares blankly at her for a second, before nodding slightly. Cora turns her back to pour herself the drink, showing a blank face and trembling lip.

At the prison, Joey sits nervously at the visiting table as he glances at the floods of prisoners coming through the doorway. He twitches his leg apprehensively, before getting up and tucking his chair in. He turns to leave, before Alice calls out to him. He turns sharply and sees Alice with a huge scar across her face. His face goes pale, before she slowly makes her way towards him, tears forming in her eyes. He hugs her tightly, demanding to know what happened to her, and she reveals she slipped in the shower. They sit down and Joey asks her if she’s sure that’s what happened, and she nods, before asking him what Christmas is like on The Square. He tells her the usual, before she tells him she’ll probably never see what Christmas is like ever again. He tells her to not think like that, before hugging her again.

At the B & B, Patrick sits in his seat with a glass of spirits and Kim walks through, singing to a song as she cleans. He asks her if she’s been round to the Beales recently to see Denise, and she tells him she will later on tonight, she just needs to get everything in the B & B sorted for Christmas. Patrick laughs, before getting up and telling her he’s going to spend the evening in The Vic. Kim tells him she can’t blame him, just as Patrick leaves. Kim smiles to herself, before switching the hoover back on and continuing to go about her business. Outside, a figure watches from the bushes off the Square as the day darkens and Patrick leaves the B & B.

At Janine’s house, David sits on the sofa playing the recording from last night, switching it off just as he hears Janine’s key in the lock. He stuffs the recording under a pillow and walks into the hallway, as Janine carries Scarlett through the hallway with bags. David relieves her of Scarlett and places her down on the sofa in the living room, as Janine walks into the dining room and presents a curry she has picked up. David smiles and begins to empty the curry, as Janine begins pouring glasses of wine and Scarlett feels around on the sofa for something to play with.

At the prison, Alice tells Joey that she is really struggling with the fact its nearly been a year since Derek died. Joey tells her that it was better that Derek died, as it would have killed him seeing Alice inside. Alice tells Joey that Derek would have made sure she’d never gotten mixed up with the Michael and Janine mess, and that he would have protected her. Joey asks if he protected her well enough, before Alice tells him he didn’t. Joey asks her to tell him what he needs to do to make things right, before she stands up and tells Joey to not come to the prison again, as she’s tired of seeing him. Alice walks away, leaving Joey speechless.

Back at Janine’s house, David and Janine eat the curry in silence, smiling at each other. David asks Janine if she’s coping with raising the money for The Vic, and she says she’ll manage to get it in time. David asks her if he could live with her in The Vic, and Janine smiles and agrees. Just then, Scarlett finds the video tape and plays with it. All of a sudden, it begins playing and David freezes. He jumps up to run and stop it from playing, just as Janine listens to it intently. As he shuts it off, Janine suddenly jumps up and turns to face him. She tells him through gritted teeth that he has just made the biggest mistake of his life.

On the darkened Square, Kim walks through the hallway of the empty B & B and pulls out her phone, calling Denise. Kim explains she’s on her way over, and Denise tells Kim to bring some wine. Kim giggles and grabs a bottle of wine, before slowly making her way out of the front door. She turns and locks it, as a figure slowly stirs from the Square. Kim doesn’t see the figure and walks down the steps, turning round a corner. The figure follows her and we see Kim’s and the figure’s shadow on the wall. We hear Kim say hello to the figure, before we see the figure’s shadow pull out a knife and violently plunge it into Kim’s shadow. We hear Kim scream, as the figure continues to plunge the knife into her.

Duff Duff; Kim’s shadow falls to the ground as the figure stands above her.

Brand new exeuctive producer of EastEnders Cal_Scream2 has revealed a shocking story line which began in tonight's episode (23rd December) of EastEnders. The scenes saw a figure stalk the B & B until Kim Fox was alone and vulnerable before violently killing the woman on her way to see her sister, Denise.

'It's a little out there for EastEnders but we need to bring some grittiness back. And what better way to do it than visit it's EastEnd roots? What is the EastEnd famous for? Jack the Ripper. So bringing that style of the story line to the table is a win win situation. It gets rid of the deadwood in a creative and exciting way, and helps to bring the show's grittiness back. It may lack much realism, but who cares?'

The story line will continue for many months and the identity of the murderer will be kept a secret. The story line will be killing off many women in The Square, so keep your eyes peeled for clues on who the killer is or who will be the next victim to the Albert Square Ripper.
