Elton John - Cold As Christmas

Excellent hit, a No33 single from Xmas 1983.

Cliff Richard - Little Town

One of his best, a No11 single from Xmas 1982.

Infact only yesterday I heard on BBC local radio another of his Christmas hits that never gets played, but was a huge hit and fairly recently - 21st Century Christmas, a No2 single from Xmas 2006. It's pretty decent.

Waitresses - Christmas Wrapping, a minor No45 single from Xmas 1982.

Santa Claus is back in Town.

Flamin fabulous, early, bluesy and quite rude Elvis song.

I adore it.

I have never heard it anywhere until yesterday, and it was playing in flamin' SAINSBURY'S, hats off. Co op radio cheers me up but I never expected that.

Debbie Gravitte's uptempo, jivey version of "Turkey Lurkey Time" from the musical "Promises Promises".
Elaine Paige plays it every year on her last show before christmas on Radio 2. ( wish I could post a youtube link but it's as rare as hen's teeth, I can't even get hold of a download of the recording )

And, of course, my fave christmas hit, "Wombling Merry Christmas". It got to number 2 ffs! Why is it never played?!

MTV have it as their ad for one of their channels turning into a Christmas channel. Pity they don't actually play it.

so annoyed that I've not seen Greg Lake I believe in father christmas this year and not even on those christmas countdown lists

How funny, as it was infact played very early this morning on BBC local radio, sometime after 5am I think it was, on Three Counties Radio with Wally Webb! Check out the catch up.

Turkey Lurkey Time was played on Radio 2 on Sunday afternoon's Elaine Paige Show as well. I'd not heard of it before.
