Every episode he's been in, hell nearly every scene he's been, has him eating at some point.

Do you reckon he has his meals included in his contract

It's hilarious the way he's always eating. I wonder if the writers read ds.

Brendan Brady used to eat in most scenes on Hollyoaks.

I've often wondered why he eats in some of his scenes.

I thought the same thing when it showed him munching on chocolate.

Was he like this in his first stint can anyone remember?

From what I remember I don't think he was like that in his first stint.

From what I can remember it wasn't so obvious.
They did seem to do scenes of him, Pat, Roy et al around the breakfast table though - so I'm sure he would be reading a paper, having a brew etc. I think he's always made use of props like keys etc.

He seemed to spend more time chasing Cindy and Carol, than heating up a kettle in his first stint.

I laughed again tonight when he was eating after seeing it mentioned on DS. I think it's realistic too. Love David

Like innovativebec said, he was very idiosyncratic in his first stint. He was never just a character that would sit there and reel off lines. I don't remember it being as concentrated on eating though! He was always moving though, always doing 'something' within a lot of his scenes. It adds a bit of energy to scenes, in my opinion, and also really makes moments when the character is still and introspective stand out.

Yes - I thought that was quite good tonight. Given he just sat there and seemed quite lost for words sat next to Carol in the hospital room.

I don't remember him eating all the time first time round and he certainly didn't do it in Holby. Maybe that is is - 15 years off and on working in Hospital shows where he couldn't eat - he is making up for lost time!!!

That's exactly what I thought. You can tell he puts a bit more effort into it, not just his lines but engages with the set/props making it all seem real.

Yes! He'll be doing what Morgan once did at Max and Tanya's soon - don't be surprised if you see David putting a stash of roast potatoes into his coat pockets next week, to eat at the portacabin.

Here you go ladies and gentlemen. A scene where Mr Wicks is eating AND drinking in his first stint. AND scheming to make money whilst he does it.

Very much like Blue Angel says - not just sitting there and muttering the lines.

I wondered if he needs props to help him act If he's not scoffing solids then he's imbibing liquids and if neither he's usually fiddling with something or other

Yes, he woofed half a family sized carton of chocolates in one fell swoop. Evidently tradeed up from toast and apples to choccies as it is Xmas!

I saw him offer them round but only half heartedly. No one had the nerve to take any.
