Yes, Corrie's credits started rolling at 20:26. Very charitable of ITV!

Thought it was very odd for them to start Corrie at 19:28. Backfired on them I think, not that they'll care as I doubt anything they did would change the result.

Finishing Corrie closer to 20:30 would have suppressed Who's peak, and (to a lesser extent) its average.
Tbh, b oth ITV and BBC should be ashamed for such an awful offering”
Apart from DA which I believe will hit 8.6 and tie with DW I think you are on the money with the rest of your predictions, and yes I do agree they should be ashamed for a dire uninspiring festive fortnight of so called entertainment.

Am watching EastEnders and yet to watch Corrie. Doctor Who was pretty good, a little quiet though, but the ending was great. EastEnders dull so far...”
After DW we switched to DA, I hope all the soaps score low because Christmas Day should be about variety and three hours of soap in prime time between the channels is frankly irritating,
Dr Who was terrible, again - Moffat cannot do Xmas specials. So disappointment again. Russel T Davies get back in charge and sort us out some good stories.

That was always going to be the case.
ITV so stupid not to use the ad restrictions to their advantage and run the schedule with accelerated flow - surely that ad break in between Corrie and Downton can't be worth that much more to them than a full ad break within Emmerdale earlier.
Twitter has gone abuzz with Danny Dyer just now making his much anticipated introduction on EastEnders. Tweets about EE shot up from 1000/minute to 6600/minute as soon as Dyer appeared.

Though surprised to not see it trending, I'm guessing it's updating very slow today.
Trends very DW-heavy as you can imagine but nice to see "Roy and Hayley" there too, bodes well for January.

It might not surprise you to hear this, but when surprising things happen, tweet shoot up.

It's interesting when you break down the tweets
Top London trend - not in the top 10 of Birmingham.

At least you watched-Samuel will be proud!
There are a lot of mixed opinions on the show thread and some unbelievably detailed analysis already. Personally I thought it was very watchable -looked good and was brilliant escapism. That's enough to keep me happy on Christmas night.
